  • very good Tom the effects where good and the flashbacks realy made the story work

  • you used vietnam helmets for a wwii movie, and didn't use wwii uniforms. good idea but could have used proper costuming.

  • Big time. Try At the Front Militaria. They sell good WWII uniforms and gear.

  • Shows how much you don't know.

  • shows how much WHO doesn't know?

  • o, andthe acting needed some work too.

  • it was pretty good, u couldve put muzzle flashes on every gun that shot, that wouldve made this unbelieveably cool. sound effects were amazing.

  • I have medal of honor rising sun I beat the whole game! the game was great!

  • But the japanese were corrupted the japanese government twisted the code of bushido int =o something else they made it seem as if the greatest thing a man could do for his country was to lay down his life willingly

  • Yeah, it's Vince. He's Chinese.

  • That bolt action rifle where did u buy that at? Also how did u do those explosions in The luck of war part 3?

  • I bought the bolt action rifle in Reading, Pennsylvania's WWII weekend, and I animated the explosions frame by frame on paint.

  • coooool

  • Is there anything special about the background at 0:29? For some reason I had a dream that it was very significant and I remembered the time vividly, but I can't remember why it's important. It's probably nothing but it's got me wondering...

  • sexy...

  • not bad

  • japanese sucked in ww2

    1:10 infantry casualty ratio

    1:11 aircraft casualty ratio

    1:5 ship casualty raion

all in favor of the americans

  • I'm definitely in favor of the Americans, but in honesty, the Japanese lost that many because they were more self sacrificing. American soldiers valued their lives more and understood the phrase "live to fight another day" but with the Japanese, if you lose, you're dead. The Japanese weren't so into their own lives. Yes, Americans are who I am for, by far- they were heroes!

    But

For Americans it was an honor to come home with victory.

For Japanese, it was an honor to die with victory.

  • That was a part of it, but there was so much to the conflict than the Japanese sacrificing themselves. The Japanese were a great power, but in many ways they were simply inept; their ground tactics were simply appalling. Also well known is that they were under equipped, and were not a fully mobilizable force as the United States and (to a large extent)Germany.

  • don't get me wrong, I'm agreeing with you, just the Japanese (NOT the ones who invaded China and such, or POW officers) deserve a level of respect.

  • yeah I guess they do, I mean if you really want, I can send you a message listing around 30 things that the Japanese did wrong in WW2, and they were grandiouse mistakes which could actually be fixed, if you want I can send it to you

Americans as well as Japanese as well as Germans and Russians all thought they were fighting for the right cause and if they had won - they would be called heroes

  • Oh yes, several mistakes... like attacking us for one.

  • no no no no, I am not talking about those, Japan could have dragged the Pacific war for years and years if she fought properly

Do u want me to send you that info? I have read dozens of books on the subject... ridiculouly stupid mistakes

  • I've heard of a lot of mistakes, mostly Troop and Fleet movements, but I'm always interested in finding out more. Send them to me through a message please, not comment. I'll read them tomorrow, I have a lot of homework now.

  • no problem man, do your homework well, you wont regret about it when you are in college

  • Good discussion.

  • oh sweet! wasnt expecting this

  • nice

  • The bolt action and some of your equipment where do u get that at[i know thrift stores]. Is there a specific website that has low proce weapons? The bolt action where did u get it at?

  • The flashback segments of your video were extremely believable. You are putting a lot of work and effort into your videos, and it will pay dividends. I already know you will definitely work in the industry, because smart people become what they think about. You can see smartness in your work, and that's what it takes to achieve. Never do anything that will short-circuit the thought process. One day I hope to say to someone; I knew Tom when he was learning his trade.

  • where do you get the medal of honor music?

  • I own the soundtracks

  • That was so cool!

  • really cool, great job

  • wow that was really cool! i'm so jealous lol! jk (not really) the only thing was the part when you were shooting...there was no sound...i was confused.

  • I was too

  • are you making a japanese army men vid?

  • like plastic soldiers? No I'm not.

  • no another one sorry used wrong words...lol

  • yup, hopefully lol

  • kk sry bout dat.

It's my b-day on monday i got myself supplies for trailer coming out Nov. 1st begining putting models together and getting sand and what not for beaches

  • oh cool. happy birthday

  • you are getting better and better with each video you make.you know i enjoy watching them thanks for sharing them with your friends and subscribers.i say this again you are very talented.and if you make it a career i know you will become famous.its an honor to know you.and that goes for your friend jake to.

  • I cannot believe how good this is! The flashbacks were well inserted and I like how you showed a key rule in war- you don't always survive.

  • I liked the ending, it was really intense

  • Great Video!

  • wow that was good tom keep it up i gave you 5 stars. good song too and the effesct were cool.

  • Thanks. Did you see my sword? It's at 1:30. If you can't see it well, don't worry, it's a big part of part 2.

  • Nice one! My cousins, Denver and Logan collect knives/swords. Little details like that really add to the feel of the story!

  • yup, I love doing that stuff like little details. Here's a cool one- The Japanese flag, sword, and Japanese bands were bough by me in Tokyo, so they are really from there. And the pole the flag is on is real bamboo. I'm especially proud of the Japanese uniform in this because of its small details and it is 99% accurate!- just missing belt accessories.

  • Cool!!! I bet that makes you feel good knowing just what goes into your films, but also, someone like me appreciates stuff like that too! Even in something like Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers there'll be some compromises or mistakes, but what matters is just the attempt to get things as close as is possible!

  • That's why I really hope you make it big one day, not just because you're a great guy who deserves it, but also out of my own selfish interest in seeing some good war movies made that actually bother with the little details that 99% of the movie going public wouldn't know a thing about but are very important to that 1%!

    : )

  • yes i did it is very neat but it was fast so i didnt get a real good look at it. Keep up the good work. oh ya how long did it take to make this one?

  • Thanks, it was fast and blurry in this, but you'll see it better in part 2. It took us about 5 hours.

  • cool the effects were great, acting needs just a little bit of improvment but still that was awesome, loved the flashbacks too 5/5

  • thanks

  • wow that was a really fast response

  • it turned out better than i thought tom we definatly need 2 do somthin over the weekend

  • maybe....... part 2?

  • And get Colby a new helmet!

    : )

  • great video amazing!

  • Thanks!

  • way cool!

  • Thank you

  • nice,great work as usual

  • Thanks, man

  • Very well done guys! I love all military history, from ancient to modern, but WWII is my favorite, and the battles of Midway and Guadalcanal are my favorite of that time period! Guadalcanal especially had that mix of surface ship battles, carrier vs carrier, and desperate ground combat!

  • I know, it was my favorite battle for a while, Guadalcanal, I'm going to make this a series like Luck of War and we're going to try and capture all of that.

  • Yes! That is great! Plus, doing small segments should fit better into your busy schedule!

The nice thing about jungle warfare is that you have absolutely no obligation to show much of the enemy! That helps in filming, plus it leaves tension & a lot to the imagination of the viewer!

  • another great film!

  • Thank you! Part 2 is soon

  • Dude that's shizzle

  • word

  • was this a introduction, or is this the only one of the pacific u will make? D=

  • no idea

  • thank you. I plan to do part 2 soon

  • awesome!

  • way to short

  • MoH Rising Sun Music! Amazing!!! Great video!

  • yeah, I've been wanting to use it for a long time, and I've got plenty more!

  • great video tom this one i really enjoyed
