Boys & girls used to draw their names to marry one another, & then the Saints names were drawn to follow their teachings. It was banned in France in 1776 due to the problems created in drawing the names of the couples to be wedded. The British king Charles 11 earned by selling Valentine cards. US Post Office earned $ 30 mn.Now it has been globally commercialized to earn money.
