I thought you was filming it for a Life in a Day project. I actually saw you there, you have really nice cameras. That girl was way too drunk, forgive her lol Why dont you try next time filming on the rocks which are located a little to the right from where you was standing
@LiveMarat Thanks for the comments. I want to try one from the inukshuk (in English or inukhuk in Inuinnaqtun) and am trying to think of something new and original to do for the next two shows.

Thanks for the interesting video work. Sorry to hear that girl was annoying by being like too many other people in Vancouver these days who just want to tell everyone what to do and what not to do. Some people have no concept of the word "Liberty".
@mskydolphin Thanks. I write these kinds of interference as "youthful exuberance" and lack of life experience from the people who do it. It's hard to explain to many that I get my fun from the making of photos and videos and I've seen many many fireworks in my life. I'm old... collecting the pension even. Been there, done that.
@kylabotting The music with the crowd scenes is music I added... techno version of Viva la Vida. During the fireworks I recall "thus spoke Zarathustra". The music wasn't that loud in my camera position... about 1/2 mile west of the sound speakers close to the entrance to Stanley Park on the seawall.
@exile4ever It is quite normal for views to freeze counts just over the 300 mark, particularly on weekends. YouTube doesn't explain why but I suspect it has to do with the use of proxy servers and also to give them a "heads up" on fast rising videos. The count is usually updated within a day or two. I notice on this video it stops momentarily on the cross-fade points which can be annoying. That can be corrected by dragging the cursor back and starting the "play" at an earlier point.
@exile4ever I'm used to the "300" freeze-up now as many of my videos get a lot of their views in the first 24 hours. That's why it's important to get videos uploaded quickly when it's an "event" people are searching for because people will click on the video with the most views and a good video can miss out on view counts for no other reason than being posted a day or three too late.
@exile4ever The downside to getting a video up quickly is that one doesn't get enough time to really look at all the footage carefully and do really serious editing... it is what it is, as it were. I'm trying to overcome the difficulty with fast editing by purchasing a newer more powerful computer very soon... 8 gigabytes of RAM and the fastest processor I can lay my hands on (Intel i7) with a fast hard drive too.
@butchnews I ordered parts from NCIX and built myself a computer just 2 months ago. I have the phenom II X6. Rendering speed is somewhat disappointed. Maybe because I only have 4GB of ram. The i7 would be much more fast, but it was too expensive for me.
You filmed a person at Robson painting on the street couple of times. Is that person there every Saturday afternoon?
@exile4ever i7 computers have dropped several hundred dollars in the past 2 months so that is why I'm able (I think) to afford one now.
I've seen that Chinese guy who does the street painting there quite often lately so I expect he will be there quite a lot if the weather holds up. Expect to see me doing video in my usual eccentric style of the Gay Pride parade next Sunday. I plan to start at English Bay and try to cover the entire parade while walking towards Robson St.
You will hear a short conversation between myself and a young lady who had too much to drink telling me I shouldn't be watching my camera but watch the fireworks. Some don't understand what is more important to a serious photographer. It's hard to do video when people have no understanding how hard it is to get a clear sight line and pay no attention at all to a tripod and think nothing of standing right in front of a camera... but this is the best I could do on this particular evening.
The new festivals are coming up. I've never been to one, how long do they last for usually?
