Great video, awesome pipe!! Congrats. Loved the way you said you were sorry for the other ebay betters...NOT!! lol. I recently got some Petersons myself and found that introducing the pipe cleaner from the small hole is easier to clean the stems to clean them. Hope you have lots of great moments with that 302. don't get me entirely wrong, i'm happy to share what i'm smoking but if i say it in the video very clearly i don't think asking me in text form is a very classy move. i tend to not sugar coat things especially in such a case where it's been explained...whether people don't watch whole videos or are just completely oblivious i'm not sure but those folks will get called out.

FWIW i'm not Irish...not even on St. Patrick's day... i'm 14th generation German.

If you have any experience for a newbie, is the P-lip better smoking? I know about the moisture being diverted, but is it actually a cooler smoke?

Hello!

The P-Lip does not effect a cooler smoke. It only effects that the smoke doesn't get directly onto your tongue (it avoids tongue-bite). On the other hand it's easier to smoke with a fishtail instead of a P-Lip. So, it's only a matter of experience... ;)

I like the Peterson 302 PPP Standard and it is going to be one of my next pipes.

For cleaning the P-Lip you should bend the cleaner like a "L"... then it should work easily.

Lovely pipe. If you light a pipe with a lighter, unless its a sandblast which that isn't, you're in danger of scorching the rim. Matches are better. Wishing you the best of pipemanship. Peterson's a grand choice.

Petersons are great pipes, I have 6 of my own, all 'P' Lip as yours. When cleaning a 'P' Lip stem its best to feed the pipe cleaner from the button, hole of stem to back. All the best :)

your peterson system has what is called a p-lip, a peterson original. i love petersons best bang for buck next to savinelli.
