First time listening to this song today. I've never heard this good of a song fully comprised of piano all by Rick Wright. Now I knew he around the talent level of Ray Manzarek of The Doors, but after listening to this, he seems like an even better classical pianist.
A blend of Chopin night music, jazz influences, a touch of impressionism, most Floyd fans ignore this piece of marvel exists. How I wish Rick was here. How many more pieces of this quality has the man composed, maybe even never played, only shuffling in his head? Just like Gilmour on guitar, Rick, you created your own genre, a true genius.
I can't thank you enough for uploading this video. This song sends me into another world. A beautiful masterpiece in my eyes. Thank you & thank you Mr. Wright
Beautiful (especially the very last minute). It's like Gilmour and/or Wright always seem to play notes that everyone else doesn't play. Pink Floyd have always somehow been able to open areas of musical pleasure that I never knew existed.
