I never really liked the 'large' robot making up the torso of the combiner gestalts. They looked completely out of scale with the rest of the team.

im glad you actually showed the 3rd mode... so many people seem to miss it

scatter shot also tranforms into a artillary turret, is appears in the show alot..

and actually tho rarely noted,the combaticon, aerialbots, protectorbots, stunticons... leaders all have a 3rd mode, tho rubish, repair bays or simular structures depends on which, in the original japanese releases im told, that metroplex & tripticon had slots, so they could add thoes particular 4 as extra buildings (when in city mode)

Yeah, your right about the other leaders having a 3rd transformation.

I even (kinda) found a 3rd transformation for Seacon leader Snaptrap.

As far as I'm aware though, only Tripticon had the slots for the "extra buildings" when in city mode, and unfortunatly not Metroplex.

However, you could add the smaller normal combiners to Metroplex to form the Mighty "Super Metroplex".

no joke, i just got a box of old toys from my step brother, cause it had some transformers and he collecets, and inside was this set complete, with all hands and feet and guns. except no lightspeed, so hes missing one leg. haha i had no idea these were combiners till i saw this vid, so thanks very much for helping my collection.
