I may of grew up with G1 and G2, and even back then I hated them after I turned 7 and when G3 came I couldn't stand it but I only have memory of the Christmas movie after I saw a bit on TV. FiM got me back into MLP and so far of the shows before it My Little Pony Tales from G2 is the only one I like besides FiM. G3.5 did NOT need to be made I can tell you that fucking much!

This generation does not have ANY personality. They all sound the same, look the same, do the same things. When I looked at the comments, I felt kinda disappointed. I loved this generation when I was little, and still enjoy watching it from time to time. I find no reason to hate this show considering it was made for little girls. As much as like the old generations, though, I also do very much enjoy FiM. Friendship is Magic actually teaches you lessons on friendship and many people seem to enjoy it.

So, tell me. Are there any fans of both the old AND the new My Little Pony?

I really like the original series the most and thought MLP Tales was okay, but over time Hasbro dumbed down the series. I mean, they went from a villain like Tirak to having a dragon stealing a star from the politically correct Winter Wishes festival because it was lonely. G3 was cute, but didn't have much else going for it. I'm not crazy about G4's art style, I think because I'm used to the older styles, but the story and characters on G4 are outstanding.

I think My Little Pony is like Philomena; in the beginning with G1, it was pretty damn awesome.
