I can't say much on my end for getting rid of chapped lips bunt maintaining them, I can.

At the end of the day, I use C.O.Bigelow's Night Balm. It is somewhat sticky like a gloss, so I only use it before bed. If my lips aren't bad, I go to my Lemon balm, which I use in the morning as well. The Mentha balm is great with SPF 15. I use these all day when I'm at home for upkeep. At work, I carry and pop on some EOS frequently for moisture. It works great and I haven't had dry lips all winter. :)

I put a moistened cloth on the bedside table and keep my lips wet or sometimes even lay it over my lips and fall asleep, and by morning they are no longer dry and cracked.

Another thing I can think of would beee trying to avoid getting toothpaste on your lips while brushing your teeth because it is very drying.

a good way to soffen your lips take a small dish and put in a tablespoon of brown sugar or white sugar, then add 1-2 drops of olive oil, then stir with a spoon until it becomes a gritty paste. (add more drops of olive oil if needed) then rub with your fingers onto your lips, then wash off with warm water.

@KaprinkleSprinkle You can get Bag Balm online at amazon, ebay etc If you are living in America, Canada u can get it from your local pharmacy if you are UK like me do not go to your pharmacy unless u wanna get embarrassed trust me they won't now wat ur talking about. Anyway I recommend Amazon because they give you new products I have ordered myself already ;D

Bagbalm is NOT vasaline! It is Lanolin, and it is not recommended for use on mouths/ lips because it is not the right grade. Vasaline is actually one of the worst things you can use on your lips because it tricks your body into thinking it can't produce moisture. if you want a good lanolin cream try using medela lanolin, it's in a purple tube and you can find it in the baby isle next to the breast pumps and pacis it's the safest grade lanolin and it's recommended by pediatricians.

Thanks! I didn't realise that licking your lips could cause more damage! That's probably why my lips get so chapped! I exfoliate with olive oil with either sugar or salt mixed. Sometimes if they're really bad I'll just use my toothbrush and water. Moisturiser really helps me too!

If anyone is interested & reads this you can also use "honey, Vaseline, & sugar to exfoliate your lips to get the dead skin off. Just put some on your lips & either use your finger or a tooth brush & rub all around for just a few sec to a min".

I brought the lush lip exfoliating sugar thing lol I needed it because I usually wear nudes and it gets in my lip creases and looks nasty.. Another trick I use is take a separate toothbrush ; wet it; and brush my lips.. Or you can you a facial scrubbing pad

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment. It smells bad (like medicine) but it has lots of active ingredients that fight dryness. It has a white cast so be sure not to put on too much. I use it every night and wake up to soft, plump, moisturised lips! =)
