@Mehrunissah93 actually she wasn`t really a crossover sensation. obviously she was really popular among the black community but she didnt have like rihanna or beyonce status because she`s considered a true r&b artist not so much pop/r&b. but everyone listened to her the same way everyone listened to biggie. not everyone likes their music sugar coated pop/commercial. both of them didn`t have pop music success. they made really good urban music and were very popular because of it
