I participated in this last year and I just adopted another child this year. Last year I adopted a toddler, a 2 year old girl and I was able to get everything on the wishlist for 50 bucks at Target so everyone can help, no matter what your budget is. Its an incredible way to help out people in need right in your own country, right in your own community because lord knows that America has poor people too. This year I adopted a baby girl, a 3 month old and I cant wait to mail her gifts!
I jsut want to thank everybody that does adopt an angel, I have a 4 year old and a 10 month old both Girls and they are 2 of those Angels this year. I am curntly out of work and my Fiance is the only one that is working and we wherent sure how we where going to do christmas this year. we could only afford a few gifts a peice for the girls and then what ever "Santa Clause" gives them the people that adopt an angel from the trees. Again Thank you so Much
Thank you! This was the first time I adopted an angel, a little 3-yr old girl. I was happy that I was able to give her the things she wished for, and I will adopt another angel next year.
I adopted 3 angels for my first time- one child and two senior citizens. I enjoyed being a part of this program and hope that next year I can do even more.
I was so happy to see a thank you from the salvation army in my email. I wasn't expecting that. I have done the angel tree for many years and my children have loved every moment shopping for the angel we adopted. This year my Curves members and staff adopted an Angel. What a blessing it is to see others help and give to a child. God Bless. Thank you Salvation Army
I chose an 11 year old boy, since I couldn't resist that one of his wishes was the book "The Giving Tree." I wish I could have done more and helped more kids, but I've been unemployed for several months. I'm pleased that this program exists. Merry Christmas and God Bless!
This was my first year adopting an angel. I chose a little boy the same age as my baby brother (12). I have a 3 year old of my own and I didn't have a lot to give, but I took some money from my "gift budget" and gave to someone who really needs it. It felt really good to provide gifts to someone who may not have otherwise received anything. This is a great program and I'll be back to give again every year that I can.
This year was my first year helping out as well.I too am a single mom of 2 beautiful little babies and I was fortunate enough this year to buy for mine and still have enough to help I adopted a 3 yr old lil girl and 4 yr old lil boy and I hope they enjoy their gifts as much as I enjoyed shopping for them.
This is not my first or last Salvation Army Angel Tree child. It's the first year my 8 year old God-Daughter was involved from start to finish. She had lots of questions and learned about the Salvation Army, the Angel Tree program and the importance of giving to others (throughout the year). With no children of our own, my spouse and I are blessed to afford meeting a child's needs and wants. My biggest joy is leaving the gifts at Salvation Army. Thanks JCP for the easy to use internet 'Tree'.
I adopted an angel for the fist time this year and will continue to do so every year. I chose an infant boy who is the same age that my son would've been had he not passed away this year. It not only made me feel good that I could give to this child but it also helped me to cope with not having my baby boy with me for Christmas. Merry Christmas!
This is my first year in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program also. I have 4 grandsons and 2 step-granddaughters who want for very little. I signed up for a 4 year old girl and gleefully shopped for her. I hope she enjoys what I got her and wish only a Merry Christmas to her and her family. If I am able, I will definitely do this again next year.
This is my first year in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. It started when I saw the JC Penny promo. I quickly signed up for an infant because I had a new grandson and knew the expense of raising a newborn. Then, I decided to participate by getting gifts for each of my 10 happy, healthy and very fortunate grandchildren. What a joy to be going to stores looking for gifts for kids who won't have the kind of Christmas my grandchildren will have. I will be doing it next year, too.
This was my first year participating in the Angel Tree program. I adopted a 12 year old girl as my angel.
While shopping for her gifts I imaged her cute, little face when she opens them. I would love to be there! It made me feel grateful for my small part in this wonderful program. I'll adopt an angel or two for years to come. Thank you all and Merry Christmas!
Although they weren't part of the video, thank you Salvation Army for including senior citizens as angels. It was gratifying to provide presents to such vibrant members of society. Christmas isn't just for children. It is my hope that more people will consider giving back to citizens who have; in most cases, given so much to us. "The good you do will come back to you."
This is our first year adopting an angel. I chose a boy or son's age in our area. Our son went with us to take the packages to the Salvation Army. It was great to see my son's face when we dropped off those presents. Not only should we be benevolent, but we should teach our children the same. We will do this again next year. Thanks to the Salvation Army and JC Penney. Merry Christmas everyone!
It's amazing to me that helping out can be so easy and makes my Christmas better because of it. I would like to see more people doing this. Salvation Army is a great Charity
It was a pleasure to adopt 2 angels. I adopted a girl and a boy. I have 2 kids of my own and 3 grandbabies and I still took the time to help another to have a Merry Christmas this year. I wish I could have done more then 2. Hope everyone feels the joy in giving in their hearts. If the whole world can give like some of us, this world would be a better place. I will keep giving every year for these little Angels.
Thank you for the opportunity to help a little angel. I would love to see the faces of these precious angels when they open something they really want and hopefully they will always hold that special feeling of the true meaning of giving and someday give back to another little angel.

Wonderful video, however, very painful to download with a dial-up internet connection.

I whole-heartedly agree!!
I adopted 3 little girl angels, and enjoyed every minute of shopping for what they wanted and what they needed.
Thank you JCPenney for stepping up and addressing the need. What an awesome company!
