I love this! I'm glad to see someone else who enjoyed FF VIII as much as I did (it was my first FF game).  It had the best music of any FF game in my opinion. Don't Be Afraid is of my all-time favorite songs from the series :)

I've heard a lot of people bash many aspects of the game and I know the things people didn't like about the game. But I disagree with all of them so... I totally agree. Only thing about the game people can really bash is the Junction system. I personally LOVED the Junction system. It was something new, and it worked. It put more strategy in the game other than just simply having "attack, magic, summon, and item." And the ability to draw magic from enemies was great too. You could get great magic even early in the game, but you probably wouldn't want to use it, because you could junction it to something to make you more powerful.

I agree with everything you just said. Junction system is awesome. People complain about the summon sequences but, taking advantage of all the possibilities the Junction system offers, I almost never summon any GF. FF8's combat system is so deep and versatile, when FF9 came out I was very disappointed in its combat system : P
