Heb8:8 speaks about renewal, Rm.7:4 also speaks about bearing fruit as well as Gal.5, Jn.15. The sower is Mt13 and also Mk4 and Lk8 and it is good to view these corperately(parable&meaning w/comtexts(even Is.6:9,Jn:12:40,Acts28:26)Also see Mt.13:34-35/Mk.4:35-36, 1Pt.1:11, 1Cor.10:4, 2Tim.3:16, Ps.78:2, Prov.1:1-6, Mk.4:13. Mk.4:13 speaks of this parable as a pivital for all,1Cor.2:13, Gen.1:3, 2Cor.4:4(Rev12:11comp to thorns)Eph2:9, Php2:13

This scripture came to mind for me too about the parables:

1Cr 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

They can't understand. Without the Holy Spirit it's all foolishness.

Excellent presentation. My favorite text of this parable is MARK 4 where JESUS lists the 5 devices of the devil.afflictions,persecutions­,cares of this world,deceitfulness of riches,lust of other things. Paul adds the weapons of our warfare are not carnal(or puny) but MIGHTY to the pulling down of strongholds. We have 1)the NAME of JESUS 2)the WORD OF GOD 3)the indwelling SPIRIT 4)ministering angels just to name a few.GOD BLESS KEEP IT UP!

God bless you and thank you. Knowledge of the Word your right is very important to protect us against evil. There is spiritual battle going on between good and evil. The Word of God is the Sword against evil. We can fight evil better getting grounded and rooted deeply in God and His truth.
