  • @MasterTranslation you're stupid the .50 cal completely smashes all the shitty russian weapons.

  • Vasyaaa100 братух,да это американские нубы))

  • Russian weapons is the best.... america sux at weapons

  • Get of the bipod and you'll shoot better

  • SVD - effective range for headshot 300m SVD is oldddshcool rifle.

  • Clip?

  • This man touched me

  • wtf is this, a plastic SVD

  • @UseUrHead503 the handgaurds are shock proof polymer. that's all the plastic on it.

  • I quess you have 9 in hole and 1 outside . Very gayish bipod , gayish video . I did not like that show .

  • It's not a clip, it's a magazine

  • with that rifle, i always play in the games ;D my best

  • It shoots best with cheap ammo, i use barnault (non-corrosive) , had some issues with the scope-mount , now have original mount and scope, much better now. Excellent (non intended) precise SNIPER-rifle!, only downthing is your shoulder WILL hurt after 20-40 rounds!.. This gives some idea of the power of this rifle! A friend on our shooting range tried a few rounds while in sitting position, the recoil blew him tumbling backwards LOL.. Had a few ejected cases against my head.. That hurts...

  • @wilco490: My Dragunov is blasting the cases over the whole firing line (about 7 meters), everyone of the other shooters are taking cover, when i'm firing ... :o) I think we booth have to adjust the gas regulator...

  • @xxmarauder Haha, i allready have the regulator on lowest setting for better groups. But this happens to every semi automatic rifle shooting next to you, there are attachable bags for catching the ejected cases but it does not look cool on the rifle.. Enjoy your rifle my friend. There is no better feeling of hitting that bullseye at 100-300 meters as you know..

  • i fucking hate gun ranges . thats why i shoot on my own property

  • кучно...

  • Calverton Rifle Range?

  • hey man how much would one of them go in fireable condition? and also, just curious, is that one chambered in the 7.62X54R rounds?

  • @abrb1223

Between $2,500 and $4,500 USD. The price tends to go up with each passing year. I got my Dragunov back in 2006 and it was only $1,500.

Also, the guy's Dragunov in the video is in fact chambered in 7.62x54R. You can tell by the curved magazine. The Dragunovs chambered in 7.62x51 have straight magazines.

  • ak bipod on svd-come on man for crying out loud

  • Great vid but I hate that bi pod

  • "-- an elegent weapon."

  • this gun is sexy

  • @feeltheAWESOMEofme i agree

  • It's not a clip, it's a magazine.

  • a dragunov would be good with iron sight so you could use it like an infantry rifle

  • даже не умеют стрелять жердяи

  • @Yakut7777

    ты жопой что-ли смотрел?!?!?

  • @ok131583 на сколько метров они стреляли?

  • @Yakut7777 I think he does

  • @Yakut7777 тиха ребёнок

  • what was the range on this? 100 yrds?

  • magazine is not a grip!!!! sweet gun, and definitely the best range in 200 miles cept for families backyard upstate.

  • american wanted killed russian with svd i know))))))))american bad people))))))))))

  • Calverton?

That is one Beautiful (not to mention, expensive) looking rifle you have there.

  • @johnpatrick818

    Yes, Calverton :)

The best and the most affordable range in the 200 miles radius.

  • @ok131583

Ditto, PLEASE LORD BABY JESUS DON'T LET THIS PLACE CLOSE. lol

  • At this range I can do better with an M4. SVD technically not a sniper rifle it is DMR (by NATO standard)

  • technically the svd is the first true sniper rifle, the first rifle developt only to be sniper rifle, not a hunter rifle or anything else

  • @Beverbajs It's not a sniper rifle. Technically.

  • Эти Суки тренируются на нашем оружии??? блин они веть планируют нападение...

  • Или партизанскую войну в тылу врага ;)

  • Do they still make Dragunov's? I been looking for 1 for a long time.

  • yes they still make them, but they are not legal in alot of places, they also dont cost much and are made in a style that has a wood stock, i am going to buy one soon, they also make airsoft one's haha

  • Comment removed

  • bolt hold open awsome..

  • well that rifle isnt the barret m82 but if ur friends says thats we cant opposite him

  • Comparing SVD to Barret is like comparing apples and oranges...

  • @ok131583 More like apples to watermelons;)

Just bought a mosin Nagant. I think I want one of these for my next Russian firearm. I try to alternate an american fire arm and a russian one... just not sure waht to get american next. Maybe a 1911

  • it more like comparing a grape to a coconut

  • @kjsh987 Barret is an fucking anti meterial rifle for fuck sake.

  • Where can you find Dragunov type weapons?

And I don't mean those cheap Romaks or PSL's, I'm talking REAL SVD or tiger rifles.

  • @dawnninjawolf

you sure you wana pay 3000 bucks for one?

  • Yeah, a weapon unmatched in its class is worth all it costs.

  • Gun broker.

You can buy a PSL and have just as good accuracy and a more reliable weapon.

    600$ compared to 3000$.

  • Yeah thats true, thanks.

  • yugoslav m76 is good.. hehe

  • Man that is skill .. what distance was it? and what type of rounds are you using?

  • what distance?

  • 100 YARDS

  • you're talented man

  • While probably not the most interesting rifle out there. Shooting the Dragunov always makes me shed a small tear. It just feels good!!! I'm jealous, nice rifle. You should take her full out and see what she can really do.

  • why you shooting at the shortest range dude, you should be on the other side by the trailer

  • Your friend is a fucking assassin hahaha

  • Which is more accurate the Druganov or the PSL?? Great looking rifle..

  • Dragunov is one of the most accurate sniper rifles in the world

  • no its not lol

  • not even far lol...

  • @666wrathofheaven666 but too bad those who use it aren't...haha!

  • @666wrathofheaven666 Accurate? Hah. It's not accurate anymore. Sako TRG.42 is more accurate than this old rifle.

  • @Qlasettaja You obviously have no clue about guns at all.

  • @666wrathofheaven666

No its not.... 1 year later...

SVD's aren't even sniper rifles. They are DMR's... Like an ar-10. They are made to hit targets between ak-74 and Russian sniper rifles.

    So about 500-800 meters tops.

Snipers kill past 1120 meters all the time.

  • @TheMango121 Thats because the Russians use their rifles different to most.

They put a sniper in each squad

  • @TheMango121 A friend of mine owns an SVD from the rifle club I go to.. He consistently and accurately hits targets up to 1,000, 1,100 and 1,200 yards just as well as any of our rifles.

  • @TheMango121

Im sure he can hit 50 inch gongs at 1k meters. All im saying its designed to hit targets 500m plus. Max effective range is around 1k meters with an SVD. Im not saying its inaccurate... its just made to kill at that range. I own a Romanian psl that's just as accurate as an SVD. SVD use side mounted scopes at 4x power.

Sniper's rifles are bolt action with high quality/power and much more precise. SVD is around a 1 MOA gun. So at 1000m you are shooting around 1 Ft. groups.

  • @666wrathofheaven666 because is not american made .

  • the dragunov is more accurate. the psl has the AK internals with the dragunov looking.

  • im prowd to be part russian

  • Nice gun....wish I had the dough to get one.

  • I use an M24 Good gun slow fire, But good gun!

  • Best gun

  • my friend were shooting air balloons from 800 mts. and he had great results. 1 balloon for maximum 2 shots.

  • nice gun!

  • 100 yard? 200 yard? more?

  • yeah, how many yards?

  • that rifle rocks ! nice russian engineering

  • good shooting

  • Tiger doesn't equal a true Dragunov - but plenty close enough. Only piece of advice I'd offer, find a way to move the bipod further up the handguard - its far less effective where its mounted right now.

  • sullmister...you dumass..it IS a single shot..retard..and stop playing so many video games..you dnt rly shoot 20 rounds one after the other rapidly like on video games....retard

  • Ever heard of aquiring a target?

  • get common knowledge of a gun in real life instead of basing it off of call of duty 4 you moron

  • Wow. I'm speechless.

  • 50 cal.barret rocks man!

  • SVD FOREVER BEST!!!

  • my vote is on the accuracy international L96A1 used by the british military

  • All best weapons made in Russia.

  • @MHOKOK

russians have great weapons, but i think the best weapons are made in germany... ;)

  • @19DaRiO95

Germany produces only good examples of small arms. Where Germany has good tanks, planes, missiles?

  • @MHOKOK

i didnt talk about tanks, planes, missiles....

  • @MHOKOK not all but I agree russia has made a few

  • dam they made the sniper look so good now, but i perfer the one with the wood on it.

  • Nice rifle

  • I'm a noob and you make me look like a fucking pro.

  • how many yrds?

  • ummm that guy whos shooting is a noob :O

  • Comment removed

  • man, I wouldn't mind owning one of those! Did they make the barrel thicker on the Tigr or is it still like all the other dragunovs? Most of them have thin barrels so they heat up fast, and it messes up the accuracy.

  • dpends the normal old skool dragonuv is the best in my mind but the tigr is shorter

  • Izhmash made a modernized version called the SVDS, it has a thicker barrel, newer flash hider, pistol grip and folding stock. The barrel is a few inches shorter but it's more accurate, and maintains accuracy longer under sustained fire because the thickness of the barrel means it doesn't heat up as fast or flex as much. I'd love if they made a Tigr-II or something based on that model. I like the SVD but I'd like a bit more accuracy for me to buy it. Otherwise I might as well get an M14.

  • yeah but i think it would be more stable

  • You never ever ever put bipods on the end of your barrel, you put them beneath the stock or the receiver, like the Tigr in the video. Putting it on the end of the barrel shifts your point of impact and also having it behind the barrel makes the weapon more stable as it's closer to the center of gravity. You will never see a precision rifle with a bipod on the barrel, period.

  • It's not a good idea to clamp stuff on the barrel because it messes with the harmonics and reduces accuracy. And like the other people have said, it's more stable to mount it closer to the center of gravity.

  • the closer the bi pod is to your shoulder, the more aggressive your movements appear threw a scope... and barrel mounted bi pod mess with your accuracy too.... theirs just no good place to mount one on an svd..... win model 700 in .308 FTW

  • Apples and oranges, the 700 is more for hunting. This is a marksman's rifle, great first shot accuracy, which later drops off in exchange for ROF. I'd rather have a Remington 700 than a Winchester, though.

  • mount it on the end of the for grip seems abit obveos (i cant spell :( )

  • Don't think Winchester made a 700, but they did make a 70. The Remington 700 is a good rifle, too, arguably better than the post '64 Winchesters. But .308 is a pretty light round. I'd have to say, if you've got the shoulder for it, and the nerves, that .300 RUM is the way to go. It'll reach out just about as far as a .50 with the right bullet selection.

  • you are correct... i mis spoke when i said win.... a good friend of mine just picked up a savage 300 win mag and i was liking it alot at the range... all i own is a savage .17 hmr.... nice gun, but all its good for is shooting squirls. i've been looking at the rem 700 just for long range target, thinking about a .270 reloaded with 150 gr also... theirs a nice 500 yard range near my house and i'de like to take advantage of it

  • Lucky you. The closest one I have access to here is only 300 yards, and only sometimes.

Savage makes a good rifle, too. I have one in .223 that I'm developing loads to get it to break the 1/2" accuracy barrier.

  • just got off the phone with my friend who has the 300... for his .223 he's using H 335 or varget powder, he couldnt come up with grain amounts off the top of his head.. for a round he's using 50 gr Barns varmint grenade and 55 gr nosler ballistic tip.... when i lived with him we went to the range almost every weekend so i know for a fact he's tried reloading numerous combo's... this is what he's had the best luck with... he's also shooting a savage .223

  • well, your info is helpful and useless at the same time because you also need to consider the barrel rifling, sounds like he has a slow rifled barrel. but for best accuracy, that is at anything over about 200 yards you want a fast rifled barrel say 1 in 10 inch or even 1 in 9 and use 90 grain bullets, as far as powder and grains, that is really up to the shooter as to what works best for him.

  • not sure what the twist is, he's shooting a savage if that helps... he's only shooting 100 yards with it.

  • In order to shoot 90 grain bullets from a 5.56 [223] you would need alot faster twist rate than 1 in 10, the military standard is 1 in 7, it will stabilize 60 to 80 something grains a 1in9 twist will stabilize 50 to 68 grains and a 1 in 12 will stabilize 40 to 55 grains.give or take depending on the rifling. The whole point of 5.56 is small caliber high velocity. If you slow down a .223 bullet to slow it just becomes small caliber, and pretty uneffective.243 in a 1 in10 twist will stabilize a 90grn

  • hmm, well I can't say that I've heard that before, but from my experience, which I will admit with .223 isn't that extensive, 1 in 9 works well with 90 grain shots. and as far as .243 my .243 has a 1 in 10 and i have the most success with Remington core-lokt 100 grains.

  • My .243 is also a 1 in10.Ive always heard that the 100 grain bullets work best in that twist, mine likes federal boat tail spirepoints.Good all around twist rate.

  • Where did u get it? message me back please..

  • I hate rangers where your only allowed 3 rounds per clip.

  • i shot one kill*

  • It's a target range, not a battlefield. Idiot.

  • Can't you buy a conversion kit for a AK-47 or 74?

  • Hello there. I've been fascinated from the Dragunova myself, i just love that rifle.

As i love all ex-ordnance firearms. I would rather seek for a Garand M1D, . But that's just my cup of tea.

You were stating real SVD Dragunovs are illegal for import in the US.. is that the reason for them being so utterly expensive? 12'k US$ is A LOT..

  • Dagunov in general (Tigr, NDM-86) and SVD in particular are not illegal. They are just not IMPORTABLE in to the USA. And yes, their scarcity is what dictates the price. Few days ago I saw a Vietnam War bring-back SVD go for $12K. When I saw it, I was drooling all over my keyboard...

  • yeah, my bad writing "illegal".

Boy, 12G for a semiauto rifle.. don't know you, but with all that cash you could afford some Class III firearms..

  • Not in NY :-(((

    No full auto here

  • gosh

Should you thank Ol' Rudy or what?

  • what was the shooting range?

  • what about law abiding citizans and gunsmiths who love the nature of these types of guns?? theres a wide range of people who own guns and the dangerous ones are the ones who dont know how to use them or are afraid of them...say...you for instance

  • What about the unarmed people who were killed in Tiannamen Square? Didn't they deserve a chance at freedom and life?

  • Neo liberal Socialist, why don't you just call yourself what you really are, a FASCIST. I am pretty certain that you have a picture of rudy "the gungrabbing fascist" giuliani all nicely framed up in the sunniest corner of your apprtment...

You bet these arms are to kill people. And I need them to protect ME from the people like YOU that are hijacking this government. Precisely the point of the 2nd amendment: TO PREVENT ABUSIVE GOV. FROM USURPING POWER AND TO PROTECT OUR LIBERTY

  • when was the last time u had to enforce the second amendment :p. But he is right i'm ok with rifelry as a sport but i hate the fact the obtainability of guns and they're used often in murders. As well as i fail to see how he is being a facist seeing as the constitution allows him to question this very law itself which you used against him. Although I don't agree with your statement I would defend everyones freedom of speech to the death and that freedom can be obtained without violence.

  • Yes but as Edmund Burke said "Great and acknowledged force is not impaired, either in effect or in opinion, by an unwillingness to exert itself." I think in modern times the mere fact that the citizens are often armed is a greater benefit to society - and restraint on government - than anyone's actual use of that force. An armed man may be the greatest pacifist.

  • Your thought that "freedom can be obtained without violence" is just plain WRONG. If you look at all of the history of men, real freedom is never obtained without guns. It has ALWAYS been the armed struggle that freed people from the oppression. America went one step forward. In it's Constitution it Guaranteed the right for the citizens to bear arms to prevent the introduction of the oppressive government... All of the yaking about gun violence is PROPAGANDA. HOW MANY GUN SHOTS DO U HEAR A DAY?

  • what about india and south africa then?

  • I don't live in those countries, so I let them sort out things for themselves... As a matter of fact, guns (military style, similar to the one in the video) are banned there too, just like in Canada. Does it help? As a matter of fact, those are the countries where you DO need to allow people to own BIG guns. You could also add Russia, China, England, Jamaica and a host of other countries to the list. Those are the countries where the rich elites need to be put in check ;-)

  • and canada as well. The constitution was written almost 300 years ago during the time of a rebellion when their was alot of violence. In a time of piece what is the point of crime when they cause more crimes then stop them. And coming from someone in canada I've heard quite a few coming from a country where guns are banned and heavily controlled. (though I was born in the US i now work up hre.)

  • @ok131583 yeah your right dude, saying "If you look at all of the history of men, real freedom is never obtained without guns. It has ALWAYS been the armed struggle that freed people from the oppression" thats exactly the point people should call gunmen or snipers in irak terrorists.. you americans should know it best due your history.... greetings

  • so.. have you protected any liberty already?

  • 7.62x54R ftw :D

  • svd rules

  • where would one go about buying a wood and metal svd?

  • I might've missed it but what was the range...?

  • Minataro57 this guy is a rookie shooter lol

    You r right:) +1

  • Yeah yeah yeah! Five in one! Buuahah, kids is it true?! HAHHA NOOBS

  • Were Can i buy one?

  • as from experience of my father, SVD penetrates a rail from 100 metres so yeah, it can do some serious damage.

  • Not with LPS or 7N1 bullet types it won't...

With AP (black tip) ammo it will, but so will the AK.

Snaiperskie 7N1 and LPS ammo will only penetrate Level 4 and Level 5 from 300m but no further than that. New 7N14 ammo is the king... But we can't get it in the US :((

  • dunno what he was shooting with in the army -20 yrs ago

  • I can attest that even Barnaul softpoint

nearly goes through 1/2" steel at 100yd,

just a pity I didn't have any Romanian

    steel core left (180gr)

  • Man.

where do you purchase/get these weapons.

    just curius

  • gunbroker

    dot

    com

  • ebay

  • you mean he's "greeeeeeeen" :D

  • this guy is a rookie shooter lol

  • this guy does not know how to hold the damn thing thats why he has a bipod

  • and you do not know anything about BENCH REST shooting.

  • dude your an idiot the reason people use bipods is because it promotes more accurate shots because it dosnt require your arms to be strained and the wieght of the gun to hinder your aim.
