The white tiger is not a separate species, it's a colour morph of any regular tiger. Their white colour is caused by a rare genetic mutation that is usually not very beneficial for their survival (being white in a forest doesn't help your camouflage). I agree with you, keeping them in cages for our entertainment is wrong, but so is breeding them.

Its sad really , I know. I had the oppotuniity to play and walk a 6 month old tiger a few weeks ago , they are such gorgeous animals , if we could put them back in the wild , I think the wolrd would be a better place. But then I dont think we have the resources , the knowledge , or a place to release them , since were removing all theyre habitat. Siberian tigers are now Amur tigers becasue the only place they have left in the wild is near the Amur River.
Theyre so cute , I imagine that small area is just for sleeping , its closed in and warm , like a den , to make them feel more safe. It is really small , but it seems theres a larger run attatched to it so the mum doesnt really have to be in there. And tigers are eerywhere , The reason theyre going extinct is because we have so many in captivity that we cant release into the wild , its harder to train an animal to go back into the wild than it is to keep it in a zoo or otherwise put it down.

white tigers are born from the same bloodline. meaning u'd have to have to mother/father mate with its son/daughter in order to produce the white tiger, but by doing this the white tiger has to suufer health deffects. though these cubs are rare because the mother and the father come from different blood lines(though it is possible all white tigers come from one parent)

It is really small , but it seems theres a larger run attatched to it so the mum doesnt really have to be in there. And tigers are eerywhere , The reason theyre going extinct is because we have so many in captivity that we cant release into the wild , its harder to train an animal to go back into the wild than it is to keep it in a zoo or otherwise put it down.

How terrible. Why on earth would they lock these poor creatures in such a small enclosure? It's not even big enough for a tiny cat to play cat and mouse, leave alone for a big cat like tigers. I don't know where this location is in the video, is it a roadside zoo or the public zoo? but either way, people should have the conciousness and education to point out how wrong this is! It's bad enough for these animals losing their home, now you are caging them like that? Have a heart human monsters!

@veggiewarriors Yes they should. White Tigers have a very low survival rate in the wild due to how much they stick out. The only real way for them to survive is for them to be in captivity. But they need a bigger habitat then that.

the mortality rates are over 80% because the recessive gene for the white color anlong with immune deficiency, strabismus (crossed eyes, which ALL white tigers have wether you can see it or not), scoliosis of the spine (distorted spine), cleft palates, mental impairments and early death.
these horrible defects are also true for white lions and king cheetahs aswell.

white tigers are born from the same bloodline. meaning u'd have to have to mother/father mate with its son/daughter in order to produce the white tiger, but by doing this the white tiger has to suufer health deffects. though these cubs are rare because the mother and the father come from different blood lines(though it is possible all white tigers come from one parent)

You know how cruel that is? And how many health defects these white tigers have? And the only reason that this line survived is for human enjoyment. @horrorguy98 No, you dont know the facts, there was only EVER one recorded white tiger due to a genetic muation; this gene was passed on but is double recessive, meaning that you have to breed back, thus its IMPOSSIBLE for them to not be inbred because their lineage all goes back to the same tiger.

If you watch a documentry called he Tiger Next Door , you meet a man who has spent 25 years breeding up white tiger bloodlines bbecause he fancies them more. Its a very good documntry about keeping tigers as pets. but if we had a way to raise tigers and put them back in the wild thn we wouldnt have much of a prblem.

Hate to break it to you, but there is no natural habitat. These white tigers are only achieved from mass inbreeding, which zoos are performing and covering up with lies. Many of the white tigers are deformed and have major health issues. The ones that don't come out as cute as the ones in this video are either abandoned or killed.
Look up the facts, and don't promote zoos that have white tigers, because for every beautiful white tiger you see they have killed countless "ugly" ones.
