I certainly disagree with the pauls on certain issues but they are the most forthright politicians I've seen who honestly serve the majority. If this amendment doesn't pass it would only expose the influence of special interest.

I am time and time again shocked and awed by both Ron and Rand Paul. To say the least, they are truly among the greatest American politicians of our day.

But for all of their talk on civil liberties and justice, I am deeply disturbed to recognize that there is something significant that is lacking from their position. They say that we shouldn't police the world. I hope that they, and future generations, will some day say the same about women's bodies.

Pro-life and Pro-choice are not two positions on abortion. They are two positions on individual rights. Just because you personally believe a fetus has no rights or that your rights trump the fetus', it doesn't mean you are right and that others are wrong.

I respect your position, but I side with Paul Sr, since he as an OB/GYN with 4000+ babies delivered is probably more qualified than most to say whether or not a fetus should be seen as deserving of individual rights.

If you disagree with his position of reducing the power of regulatory agencies, I suggest you look at how Obama appointed the former VP of Monsanto (Infamously immoral corporation ) to a top position in the FDA (a regulatory agency that's supposed to stop Monsanto from doing immoral actions).

Federal regulators are not working for your benefit any more than most members of Congress are...

Rand Paul has got my vote whenever he decides to run for President. Also someone suggested to me that Romney may pick Rand Paul as VP, if dad does not get nominated, and does not run as third party. Not that I support Romney, but people suggested it due to very light if any criticism from Ron Paul at Romney. In fact RP once defended Romney when he was accused of firing employees. Just saying.

Kudos to Rand for saying this in the US Senate! They won't listen, but it does me good to know Rand told them, anyway, and it's been read into the Senate record.

Nobody in the House or Senate should have a pension or medical insurance. It should be a civic duty, akin to jury duty. It shouldn't be a career, and those who serve surely shouldn't have their net worth skyrocket while they're serving in Congress, as we see now.
