In 1944, when the USA came to fight in Europe they were in center of polish country. Red Army would break German resistance anyway in the east. Just like Poland could handle the Nazi attack in 1939 if the Soviets wouldn't stabbed us in the back on 17th september.

if you ever read a book you would know that we spend hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition per enemy killed...in WWII it was about 25,000 rds per enemy, in vietnam about 400,000, gotta be even more now.
