This one of the many episodes of Tom & Jerry that was aimed at social issues, this one being about scuicide, depression and alcoholism, but it was aimed at the dishonesty, selfishness and arrogance of finance companies and insurance companies, (via the gal cat ignoring Tom's interests and feelings for her own selfish gain from a stinking rich 'Butch', and when Tom signed the papers for the car).

This episode is very well written and it's issues and message are still as true now as it was then.

Strangely enough, this episode always cheers me up. Tom always has Jerry as a very good friend, whereas some guys (or girls) don't have much friends (like Jerry). Suppose Tom went through this alone or he listened to Jerry, maybe the outcome would of been different. I'm glad I have friends like Jerry to remind me that not every one you see will be your lover. Furthermore this episode shows that you must find the right one and not the wrong (like this white cat). This is one of my fave eps.
