This made me cry every time I watched this. China and other countries ate them for lunch and/or dinner. They were killed in a cruel ways than cooked and consumed by the human's stomach. Unlike these dogs, which were the lucky one, they have hopes and kindness from the viewers like us. If I would choose, killing and eating a dog is more cruelty then abandoning them. But we can't stop them because there're no laws or animal rights in other countries D:

GOD is watching us every second, what we do good or bad, whatever we do for good or bad will turn three times multiply by seven, it's true. There is a history of a man who got tired of his loyal dog. When he bacame old he throwed away on streets to died of hungry. Everynight the dog came near his owner to make sure he was ok. One day his boss was badly hurt by bandits, he felt the dangerour run inside found it on the floor, barking alert the neighbors, he save him.

So someone cannot make the effort to re-home their unbeloved pet or relinquish to an animal shelter where they at least have a chance to be adopted or at the very least be euthanized humanely, no abandon your pet to a slow, agonizing death. I will never truly understand how anyone could even abandon a helpless creature, like a dog, let alone harm them. :(

These dogs (or any pet) deserve our support because we human beings created the idea of a domestic dog. We all have a right to own a dog but there is ALSO the responsibility of providing for all their needs.

Dogs are born with unconditional trust in us and it's not right that it is abused.

I have just had a cocker spaniel puppy from a breeder as I live at home, but I want to have another when i get married in a few years time and this has confirmed Im going down the rescue root as I am getting into agility as well and it gives these poor animals a new lease of life! x

I support my local shelter and have rescued dogs myself and kept them until I have found their rightful owner. I love my dogs to bits. I know you can get pure bred dogs you can also go to special rehoming services for specific breed types like the cocker spaniel rehoming club. @cdkreturns again read afore mentioned post I know there are cockers in shelters. The caessr for one! There's not enough space on here to type all about why I had my dog from where I had him from. A lot of it was to rescue him from a situation in which he was being kicked and abused! I now have a dog who I've spent a lot of money on due to aggression issues and he's bitten and I mean done damage because of his insecurities and had he gone anywhere else hed have had to be put to sleep.

i really love dogs and this episode made me cry i want to get a dog but its really dificult because of the cost i don really mind taking the dog to the vet or for a walk but taking to the vet it will cost a lot of money and if i had enoth money (icome from another country so my parents says that its too expensive to have a dog) i will adot a dog and love that dog i would do anything to have a dog like charlie

This is a great idea and in the next few days I will ask PetStreet's 10,000 members to view this video. Though in the UK we like to think of ourselves as a nation of animal lovers I do wonder when I see shocking abandonment statistics like these. The challenge is to change the 'easy come, easy go' attitude to dog ownership. I wonder if it is just too easy to obtain a dog, or any other pet for that matter. Maybe dog ownership should be re-assessed as a privilege, not a right.
