Amazing. I love good covers of classic songs. A good cover re-invents the song and makes it utterly new for you, best examples are Hendrix's Watchtower or Cocker's Help from my Friends. There is no blasphemy in making your own rendition of a song. The blasphemy is when you just follow the same arrangement as the original in which case what's point in the doing the song? To be a tribute artist like an Elvis poser? Screw that.

This is the song that turned me on to Rasputina. I love the original, and I can understand why some purists are haters, but the solo she does in this song makes the hair on my arms stand up.

I LOVE CCR, but I remember the first time I found out the title of this song, I thought " 'Bad Moon Rising' is too cool of a name to be wasted on such a peppy song." lol

The original sounds more like "Bright Sun Beaming."

You've obviously never heard the original if you think it's "peppy". Try listening to the lyrics next time, not that the melody itself can be called any more brighter.
