  • @icansmellthecoffee Self Sufficiency for the 21st Century is a top book for what you are looking for. I'll have to do some book review videos. Thanks.

  • As you mention, the energy/pollution issues in the world do not bother you because you are prepared. This is how the elite class feel, they don't care either, they have far greater protection than most of us could imagine. Its all quite scary really when people that have money/power to protect themselves become careless.

  • @rainbowsalads Well, the elites generally don't cut their energy use by 80% and spend money on renewable energy systems or hyper efficient transport. I think they are benefiting from the growth based system we live in that ultimately disregards the environment and the people that live in it in the name of company profits and growth. I think this creates cognitive dissonance for elites if they change the way they live because then they'd have conflicting beliefs and values etc....

  • @MrEnergyCzar very true. : )

  • What about buying property on a river, since you can get electricity where there is hydroelectric potential?

  • peak oil or peak greed i just wonder.

  • @falcon02012 Greed caused us to pull all the easy oil out as fast as possible so we could act out our greedy tendencies, wanting it all, never satisfied etc...

  • Will "business as usual" work in terms of community, and have you thought about being in an intentional community?

  • Thank you for the answer.... Another for you. What is the one book on the shelf behind you that you would recommend to understand peak oil?

    Merry Christmas ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2 The Long Emergency by Kunstler is such a classic, I'd go with that.

  • good video please make more how is your battery back up comeing

  • @MrJohn196741 Battery back up could be years...big investment up front as you know. Thanks for asking.

  • I love your book selection. Looking forward to some book reviews.

  • @NetZeroHome I'll have to make some Peak Oil book review videos. Thanks

  • It's interesting to me how the vast majority of people do not connect the current breakdown crisis to Peak Oil and Overpopulation. They tend to believe that the answer is the Federal Reserve or Restricting or Freeing up Capital Markets, or going back to a Gold standard or even term limits for Congress. As if any of that can fix anything.

Why do you think people do not make the connection between breakdown crisis and Peak Oil?
