The game is so much better now. If you honestly believe this was better, think what it's like being on the receiving end of this. A warrior basically charges you and destroys with 4 hits. That just doesn't happen in Cataclysm. Hopefully we never go back to this broken system in any game.
@Davisrullzs, WoW right now: Everyone has epics and dragons. Not only has Cross-realm features destroyed the community, they have also made people become arrogant assholes due to the near anonymity. No world PvP (Hillsbrad and STV were practically warzones). There used to be enough going on in the world to have something interesting to do at ANY given time regradless of wether you had your entire guild online and ready to rock or not. Not anymore theres, no players outside Orgrimmar/SW. RIP WOW.

This video is like 6-7 years old, before the wow pvp video culture was established. Also at the time, this was considered reasonable speed gameplay (not as fast as grim but still good). Also, Warriors at 60 were slow hitting, but HARD hitting. Might wanna have relevant, constructive critisism 'next time <3'.

@DimuXaS What are you talking about, you god damn noob? All instances are blizzlike. They have 100% of the original mobs. I haven't come across ONE single broken quest and I have 4 lvl 60's. Those few who're broken were also broken during Vanilla. The community is great, always 1800-2200 people online on Horde side, which makes it about 4400 online in both Horde and Alliance. AV is perfectly BlizzLike pre-tbc scripted.

Therebirth (google it, 4th in list I think - look down till you see wow things) BRAND NEW 1.12.. Exactly blizzlike, no donation gear, 1x exp, classic drops, Raid progression - MC, Ony, etc.. No early ZG - Classic order of releases. No stupid corrupt GMs and slacky devs. Population growing daily, but it's pretty much brand new and people still leveling to 60. Really great feel and I suggest this new realm to anyone.
Join Patchwerk wow, 1.12.1 server with 10x exp rates starting at level 20 with deadmines/wc gear, has active staff and good scripting, naxx is under development

@101Notoriousqt I can't really understand how people think resilience ruined the game. Pvp has never been so popular after it was introduced in TBC, and I find it more fun putting up a fight, instead of oneshooting people.

Are you kidding? I've had more wow-specific technical problems in cata then in vanilla, cata, and wrath COMBINED, seriously. Classes required less button mashing but more finesse. As for balance? Frost Mages. This is WoWs lowest point... still fun, but not as good as Wrath/TBC/Vanilla.
PvE side all raid bosses are gimmick driven and lame, so meh. Still fun, just not as fun as ever before.

Yes, balance, every specc has it's place now, in pvp and pve. In vanilla people didn't have much choice if they wanted to do pve or pvp. The classes we can discuss, but I find it more balanced in both pve and pvp than ever before. In high end arena there will always be unbalance and lack of several classes or speccs, but in the end, it's not impossible to get there.

Damn, people need to take off the nostalgia goggles and actually look at vanilla with open eyes. Sure the vanilla feeling was incredible, downing a boss with 40 people and exploring a whole new world. But PvP especially was terrible, no skill needed, just farm some epics and lol1shot people with shit gear (just as is displayed on this video). Technically the game is much better now, it just doesnt provide that awe feeling you got in vanilla.

Therebirth (google it, 4th in list I think - look down till you see wow things) BRAND NEW 1.12.. Exactly blizzlike, no donation gear, 1x exp, classic drops, Raid progression - MC, Ony, etc.. No early ZG - Classic order of releases. No stupid corrupt GMs and slacky devs. Population growing daily, but it's pretty much brand new and people still leveling to 60. Really great feel and I suggest this new realm to anyone.

But when you look away from the nostalgia, the things that made wow so fun back there was the people and the fact that it was a brand new game. It had major issues and wasn't very including.
I had a lot, and I mean A LOT of fun in vanilla wow. But if it simply got back now, it wouldn't be the same. And I don't wanna spend my time on a unpolished game

@Plusimurfriend I bet you haven't even PLAYED Vanilla WoW, but somehow you think Catacylsm is better and takes more skill. Sure, Cataclysm has fun things to do, new zones, new races, etc but Vanilla WoW will always be dominant. That was WoW's "Prime". Where there were over 14 million subscribers to WoW. I can't guarantee this, but im pretty sure there are only like 11 million now. And the funny thing is back in Vanilla WoW you NEEDED skill to play clothies. Continued

@WoWRules121 Cataclysm are a much better game in many ways, the servers has never been more stable, more or less bug free, the best class balance this game ever seen, a better gameplay for every class, many classes were slow and very booring back then and it's more including. WoW has dropped in popularity, but this is very common to ALL games that has been out for 5 years or more. Maybe I misunderstand you, but there were only 4 million subs in vanilla, 7 million in tbc and 12 million at highest

Are you kidding? I've had more wow-specific technical problems in cata then in vanilla, cata, and wrath COMBINED, seriously. Classes required less button mashing but more finesse. As for balance? Frost Mages. This is WoWs lowest point... still fun, but not as good as Wrath/TBC/Vanilla.
PvE side all raid bosses are gimmick driven and lame, so meh. Still fun, just not as fun as ever before.

@Ryakki Then, tell me. Because I don't believe you, because vanilla wow had major flaws in zones, classes, major server and instanceserver problems. Yes, balance, every specc has it's place now, in pvp and pve. In vanilla people didn't have much choice if they wanted to do pve or pvp. Everyone can do decent damage now, in vanilla we ditched warlocks and hunters if we could. And I don't understand that frost mage thing, annoying, yes but not impossible.

@Ryakki PvE isn't as much fun anymore, I've played since 2004 with a year break, and I've feel that I've done the raids before, but remodelled, even if it's brand new.
I don't think wow is fun as it used to be, but that's normal, I've played the game for 6 and half year already. The only interessting left are pvp, but that's because I've always been mainly into pve.

Bugs= more then ever, Random DCs. 10 minutes loading screens to "Character not found" and stuff like "Transfer aborted:instance not found" + all the classes got all the abilities= there is barely any difference between any classes at the moment. @mjukis89 I seriously don't find more bugs now than I experienced through vanilla, and I have LESS random DCs than I've ever had. And, really, "Instance not found" ? You REALLY think that one is new? Character not found, that one I've never experienced.
The classes we can discuss, but I find it more balanced in both pve and pvp than ever before. In high end arena there will always be unbalance and lack of several classes or speccs, but in the end, it's not impossible to get there.

A good frost mage can beat a bad hunter and a good hunter can beat a bad mage. It's all equal. Based on skill. Back in vanilla a bad rogue who got hwl could own a good warlock in blues.

Damn, people need to take off the nostalgia goggles and actually look at vanilla with open eyes. Sure the vanilla feeling was incredible, downing a boss with 40 people and exploring a whole new world. But PvP especially was terrible, no skill needed, just farm some epics and lol1shot people with shit gear (just as is displayed on this video). Technically the game is much better now, it just doesnt provide that awe feeling you got in vanilla.
