There's not a single song on this album i don't like IMO its their best album yet with humbug being my least (though still being a good album also) I find it strange that people can't accept that Whatever People Say I Am was written when they were teenagers, people grow up and mature get over it

Brilliant song, i noticed this album was going to be nothing like 'Humbug' or 'Whatever people say i am, thats what im not' when i herd the soundtrack for the movie Submarine..This now is the Arctic Monkeys. You won't get what there was when they where 19. The Arctic Monkeys have grown, and so has their music.

@HJManson Apologies for getting involved, but Humbug is a fantastic album. It's lyrically superb. Although the musical direction veered strangely, it did make a lot of people see them in a new light. They kept fresh and there's nothing wrong with that. "i think that they should please the fans" - Sorry again, but that's a terrible thing to say. I imagine they'll make songs for themselves and put out whatever they feel is good enough, they don't have to please anybody but themselves to be fair.

@HJManson I have heard the lyrics to those two and they're particularly poor, but that doesn't mean it's a bad album. I thought Humbug captured Turner's darker and more ambitious take on songwriting. There's only so many times he can write about sex and nights on the town. I found Humbug to be a complete rewrite of the band, which is a good thing! Would you rather hear four albums that are the same, or four that sound different?

On Don't Sit Down, it's not to trust him, and I find it cleaver the way he uses those lyrics. Sure, first two albums lyrics were better, and so were Humbug's, but they told stories, and this one gives out a message.

The difference between "Suck It And See" and "Humbug" is that this one is more ballad-like, and "Humbug" is much more strong and post-punk..

But both of them are great. In my opinion, "Humbug"'s better.
