President Bush handled this situation BETTER than any one of us would have. He had a presidency that no doubt may have been better remembered in the common public's eye, but instead was concentrated on the protection of America from foreign threats. Please explain how he screwed up gas, air, water, and economy. Gas prices fluctuated, but never got unreasonable. He was able to take them back down, and fought back against the gas monopoly.

This speech will NEVER be mentioned in the same breath as Lincoln's Gettysburg address, JFK's inauguration, Reagan's Berlin Wall or FDR's Pearl Harbor speech. Those speeches were a part of their respective events, whereas W's 9/11 speech is largely forgotten amongst the carnage and aftermath of 9/11.

By declaring war on the terrorists, and especially osama bush gave them a hell of a lot more power than they had before. In a way he is the biggest benefactor. He made the mistake of inadvertidly declaring a war on Islam. Im not muslim and have no plans to be, but a lot of muslims now feel like he has declared war on them and their families.
Osama may or may not have bombed the USA, hes acting pretty guilty though and he obviously hates America but I bet hes quite glad with the outcome now.

Besides, there is no point in getting into fights about it now. We have barely a year and a few months before his time is up, and his time is done as president. We'll see where the country goes; how we go up or downhill with our next president.
