Almost: the contract is NOT canceled though, if one side does not give value. All that means is that that same side is in dishonor of the contract. A person in dishonor of a contract cannot rescind the contract until back in honor. And the other side, in honor, will not rescind the contract because they now have the opportunity to exact Lien or Levy and profit from the first's dishonor.
