I have 4bars of service for BT FON but when I connect on my Mac and bring up Safari, it doesn't load the log in page for me to enter BT FON log in details! arghh! Help!

I connect but never get a logon page, I can't even ping the gateway, it just times out.

When you try to load up a page what message to you get? Remember that like any hotspot, BT Fon needs a sufficient signal to work well - if its one bar or two then loading a page may be very slow - if you are getting good signal, and are still having problems, let me know and I 'll be happy to help out.

I have BT FON on and i can see it on my laptop but when i connect to the hot spot it doesn't load up the log in page what to I do

I have seen that this is a big problem

@helenhig Can you even pick up a BT Fon or BT Openzone hotspot when you search for available wireless networks? If there isn't one close enough you won't see an available network, if you can see one and the signal strength is ok I can help you get connected on that.

I am very disappointed that I cannot connect to either BT Fon or BT Openzone at a house about 2 miles from my own, using my laptop. I am a Bt Infinity customer and have opted into BT Fon. My laptop connects locally but not to the internet. I need to help an elderly couple speak to their daughter in Australia using Skype on my laptop :(

@LuxuryHobo Yes BT Fon access is included with all BT Total Broadband packages, this gives you wifi access to over 2 million hotspots nationwide

at 52 seconds the girl says that when connected to either openzone or fon you open your browser and your automically taken to the btfon log in screen, i dont get anywhere,this is really annoying me so much, ive searched the forums of bt and every other forum possible, ican connect my laptop at my girlfriends home with btfon app and laptop, but for some reason not at my own home

dont work, when you speak to bt on the phone they dont listen and i carnt understand them which does not help. they get all your details incorrect which again does not help :(

Hi BT, could i use this app with a "Nokia N85" or is it android's only?

@ST3VE1989 Androids and iPhones only at the moment for the app. You can still log into to FON from your smart phone though :)

@BTCare Whats FON (wireless on the go!) every time i search for my BT home hub from my xbox 360 it keeps saying "FON" i don't understand lol.

Also is BT going fibre optic? iv'e heard its way faster for streaming/downloading/uploadin­g ect.

@ST3VE1989 If you've opted into BT Fon your Hub will be broadcasting three SSIDs - its own, a BT Fon one and an Openzone one. We are already rolling out Fibre, we call it BT Infinity, check the availability checker on our website to see if or when you can get it :)
