Now from a sporting point of view- As a professional hunter I am sure you don't just head out into the bush and wander around aimlessly hoping to bump into your prey. If you are a professional I would guess you learn where your prey finds its food and it's habitat.....
Continued.... where it likes to shelter, you may even search for a group of females in the hope to find the dominant male in order to get a large amimal. However you look at it this is the hunters craft and learning the habits of your prey and searching for them in the areas they are most likely to be near is the mark of a true hunter.
It sure is far more sporting than walking around hoping to spook up an amimal and taking pot shots at it as it runs away.
for your information, there are over 23 million wild boars in Australia, that is more than the population of humans and they are causing millions of dollars worth of damage to the environment.

Some are head shots, others aim to take out the spine and the aorta at the point where the neck meets the chest. Projectile selection is important, with the right projectile a shot into the right spot will destroy the lungs, heart and smash the spinal cord. it's all over pretty quickly after that.

Some are head shots, others aim to take out the spine and the aorta at the point where the neck meets the chest. Projectile selection is important, with the right projectile a shot into the right spot will destroy the lungs, heart and smash the spinal cord. it's all over pretty quickly after that.

Second shot was irresponsible! You could have or have wounded the pig behind it. As a hunter I understand you have to take care of of pest animals. But you should always go for clean and one shot kills. Trying to get 2 for one is simply irresponsible!
