Thank you for posting this lesson. Alot of good information there. I look forward to the next one. Any chance of doing a video about drum tuning? Your drums always sound great.
I wondered if you'd have time anywhere in the near future to make a short and sweet beginner's video? I find almost all the beginner's vids to labour the points too much and never just quickly show and explain why and how something should be done.
I'd just like to know what kind of patterns to learn and what's the optimal way to start to shape up your skills, you know...
Thank you so much for this lesson. This is along the caliber of lesson(s) that I will be giving to my students. This is & will be beneficiary for me to learn this slowly & to teach it slowly, especially considering that this lick can & must be used musically, not simply technically.

This is one of the best instructional drum lessons I´ve ever seen, including DVDs. Excellent examples and explanations. Thanks!

There are a quite a few good grooves and licks on YT but not so many with good explanations. Yours are the best I've seen.
Good to see some new stuff from you and your students, I'm sure your work is appreciated by many.

Excellent video, Mr. Merante. Your "spiel" is a welcome antidote. Great, great lesson.
