Coming from a background and home where traditional Irish music is played and enjoyed. This just seems odd to me. The Music is not really Irish, and I think St. Patrick would cringe if he saw this as part of any worship supposed to be Christian.
Don't get me wrong. I think the kids play and dance wonderfully. They don't need to be in a Church though to "dance before God" as another poster commented. Christ is always in our midst.
Why were they doing this in church? What does this have to do with God, Church, worship, etc? It seems a little in appropriate to me, The whole set up their looks like a rock concert or a show! Otherwise not bad dancers.
@kardancer1 this was part of a unique service that was celebrating the arts and how the arts can be used in worship. The song they were dancing to is called "Praise Him with the Dance" and the words are taken from Psalm 150. However, I understand what you are saying, especially now that we have started attending a more liturgical church instead of the denomination we were a part of when we filmed this.
@kardancer1 "why were they doing this in church?" I dunno, maybe they took seriously the part about make unto God a joyful noise. If David danced before the Lord, why can't these kids?
