  • man u are teaching us but your video quality is shit

  • this video sux....doesn't show ya shit.....

  • I don't understand why people do the typed instructions instead of voice over??!!!

Takes 4 times longer to wait for them to type the words rather than say them ...

  • very helpful thank you!!:-)

  • i can't see what you're doing dude

  • I love how most of the " ill show you how to export for HQ" are NOT in HQ, way to shoot in your own foot

  • @thefinalconflict

thats because they are using screen capture not final cut

  • Adobe is ok. I lost my sound fer Utube. Help please. Anyone.

  • You know you can just upload a 1280x720 video for HD, right?

  • RIGHT.

    i use imovie 6 hd

    i export as MPEG-4, and i use:

    600kb per sec

    and 480 by 360

and h.d34gfjghd WHATEVER THAT thing is that is suppose to make it hQ.

    but it dosn't work.

    WHY?!

    someone help.

    i'm so pissed off.

  • I get the same thing.

It seems perfect playing from the finder, but when i upload it, it looks shit.

  • try using 1000 kbps for video or higher. For audio, i recommend 192 kbps with 44100hz.

  • put it in 60 frames per second mate

  • u can compress t the same way all u hav to do is change the size to 640480 and u get the high quality button on utube

  • MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 is just not a good format for recompression (and thats what happens when you upload videos to YouTube). Export your videos as QuickTime (with the ".MOV" extention) and you will love the results!

  • @samboothey It's not for the quality, it's for the type of sound. that makes it STEREO, not hq.

  • i've got 20/20 vision and i couldn't make hardly any of that. i'm sure it works a treat but maybe an oral demonstration would have been better.

  • hey dude thanx heeps im sick and tierd of all my videos being pixilated :) it really worked cheers

  • this isnt hQ

  • Are you Superman? your real name is Clark? because you must have a supervision or something to see that. Write it down man.

  • Perhaps you should specify Mac or Mac OS X in the title (and the tags)? Not everyone owns a Mac.

  • were do u download this file????

  • when i did this there was a white dot on the screen for the whole vid..?

  • is this through iMovie????? i think it si..

  • my version isn't like that

  • u have to click on the save movie after u have finished compileing the video.then save as whatever size u want.

  • Can someone help me?

When i want to upload a video of pictures onto youtube made from windows movie maker, it says i need to export my video because it is .MSWMM and needs to be wmv ...

does anyone know how to export it and make the video .wmv if you do could you PLEASE help me!!

  • you need to publish it to your computer

  • click save MOVIE file and save it to your desktop...not project file

  • When you save, go to File, Save Movie File, My Computer, enter the desired name of the file and choose where you would like the file to be, next, choose Other Settings and set it to Video for Broadband (512 Kbps)...then just upload your video to YouTube...and youre done!

  • OMG thanks for this comment.. u help me alot. we have the same problem in uploading videO. thanks u soOo much! :)

  • Premiere CS3 has a youtube exporter... but it sucks! It´s worst than wmv

Is there a way to make cs3 export to youtube in a better quality?

  • ah..how come my quicktime looks different?

  • Because youre not using a mac or the same version?

  • someone can help me? When i upload my video it appears with two vertical black bars on the sides... someone knows why? How can i solve this problem??

    Thanks

  • Youtube videos aspect ratio is 320x240. When u make your videos be sure to make it 320x240 or 640x480. (If u make it 640x480, Youtube will resise it to 320x240.)

  • also check the setting you're using to prepare it for youtube.

If you've got "letterbox" selected that might be the issue. But I read that keeping the letterbox setting would preserve the original dimensions rather than losing some of the image at the edges.

  • Thanks For Posting

  • i dont understand what ur doing?

  • I t is not very clear, so useless.

    Thank u anyway!!

  • Nice tutorial, I just used them on a video and was able to reduce the QuickTime file size from 98MB's to 30 without loosing any quality. Awesome. Just one thing, it is hard to see some of the settings you show... your zoom is too fast. Maybe just focus on a specific window instead of the whole desktop. Thanks again for making it.

  • I've followed your advice, but still my I-Movie skips in the quicktime export...only on the one second cuts. Is there anyway to overcome this?

  • If you have clips that are only 1 second long, have you tried putting these clips in slow motion, therefore effectively making them longer? I use iMovieHD v6.02 and haven't experienced this problem (w/ clips shorter than a second).

  • Can you tell me exactly why it won't work in normal quicktime 7 and has to work in pro?

  • Only the Pro version has the exporting capability. I could be wrong since Quicktime probably updated their features.

  • Do you have to have Pro 7, or will the free version 7 work?

  • Yes, you do need pro.

  • can you get a free trial of pro?

  • For the comment from bobshnider323, can u respond to this comment, i was on the wrong account.

  • what did u use to record the screen?

    Macs r the best!

  • Sorry for the late reply. Anyway, I use "iShowU". :)

  • Good quality. Just crapy audio 3/5

  • I think I was able to get all the settings right. I wish you had zommed in more often or made more text notes.

I am trying it now to see if my video looks any better

  • Great tutorial for those who use Macs.
