@lenny865 If you'd paid attention to the interior of the pre-facelifted model, you'd have found that they did some redesignings on the interior too especially the leather covering the door panel. They might have put something like the LEDs which Audi has been doing for some time but every car today, including any Audis is equipped with plenty of safety features (airbags, abs, eps, and so and so and so) which have been used by Mercedes Benz decades ago...

S-Class for decades has been the best car. Truly it is still the best today. Hopefully, when I have sufficient amount of money I will get this car. No doubt. I will not think of any of its competition because really there is no competition.

The BMW 760LI is my favorite sedan because its so luxurious and sporty. But watching this video, HOLY COW, mercedes in not playing around. I think the BMW front end is too simple. only lines gives the car a personality. But the S class is the definition of Elegance indeed. But BMW is still my fav.

Those bulges over the wheel wells would look better on a SUV. They're a little too much. Could have been more subdued...But this car looks too much like a Maybach which in my opinion is an ugly car.

I'd buy this S-Class instead of the current BMW 7 series, it's more attractive better design and classy, no offence to bmw fans but the new 7 series needs a make over, the grill is too big and the front end is too straight upright + the tail lights are confusing but i gotta say it's interior is really neately done but the front end needs a bit more re-designing. personally i rather the predecessor of the current 7 series.

2009 is probably he age of LED Lights. Audi started it with the R8 and continued with other models and now most of european car manifacturers are and will be using LED lights. The new Land rover model range use them and so as mercedes now. Those lights were once an Icon for futuristic concepts and now it is available in these cars. Technology is really amazing. Best looking sedan in it's league as of this moment.

I agree! It'd be better if there were less LED. Having too much LED makes the car kind of showy, and looks like a Christmas tree!

BTW, I think the head light of Lexus LS600hL is the greatest and the coolest as well, of course without any LED

i'm not a 100% certain, but was audi the first company to use led daytime running lights (and subsequently full led headlights on the r8 v10)? would you say mercedes is "copying" them, or is adopting the latest trend? either way, don't reckon that they've incorporated it as nicely as audi. :)
