this is such a good drum video and shows mikes range of skills. there are some metal elements in here with the double bass etc,there are some off time movements, and there are also some really subtle fills and beats. FANTASTIC!

I agree. The Purple Monster always had such a real, natural drum sound to it. Tuned to perfection, imo. Every drum on it just sounds amazing. I wish he'd used this kit on more albums.

I think you're referring to one of his 'stax'. Basically it's a crash or splash and a small china stacked on top of each other. He had signature ones for sale through Sabian last I heard, or you can make one yourself.
