Memes are filtered by how effective they influence people's emotions and incite emotions. Good ones propegate whereas bad ones die. That is why all the same memes appear across the media and political discourse. They know what works and what does not work.

That is why it is so easy to beat most journalists and your average American in an argument.  They learn to regurgitate memes and not to criticize them.

Politicians in Washington are like two clever lawyers. They put on a dazzling show for the courtroom, in front of the camera. Afterwards the two lawyers go out for a beer and a big belly laugh.

Washington democrats and republicans do the exact same thing. They meet down at their taxpayer-funded private club after the big debate, drink a choice beer, and laugh at how dense bespeckled panels of nitwits like this really are. And guess who picks up the tab for their beer? This panel and you.

How about U.S. Army robotic drones flying over Pakistan and blowing up school buildings full of kids. Little bloody arms and legs laying around all over the schoolyard afterwards. Obama hasn't made any effort to stop it. I call that very extreme! If fact, the bums in Washington are increasing the military budget for war in the Middle East. More drones anyone?

I am going to agree with you although I don't remember anyone ever calling on people to buy guns and Ammo. The only reason people are doing it now is because they are afraid of what a strongly anti Gun President will do.

Both sides demonize the other.  Both sides have terrible ideas. Both sides have some good ideas. No one wants to come together and work through the issues though. They are about party. Not country.

I think it was Glenn Beck or Michael Savage who advocated stockpiling guns and ammunition and to shoot at the police if/when they come to get them.

Yes I realize both sides demonize each other but it's hard to make a party that's insane look good.

This "civil defense force" is a myth perpatrated by right wing blogs and right wing media . The first time I heard it was when Rush Limbaugh brought it up and he had zero evidence.

I am not a hand out to Democrates, if John McCain hadn't picked a more qualified candidate then "Carabou Barbie" and didn't sell his soul to the conservative christian right and stayed Moderate like he has been for year he would have had my vote.
