GAH!!! I'm so annoyed at this movie! I had to write a (short) story for my english class about an "Uninvited Guest", and I wrote a story about a stranger who drops by with a suitcase and stuff, not a very original idea, but the story was good. I got far worse marks on it just because everybody who read it thought that I had gotten the idea from the movie, but I never even heard about it until now! So frustrating, it's not even a good movie :/

There's a pattern in the movie. Somone gets the box, then presses it. The wife of the last owners gets killed (by the hausband), and current owners get the money, and the box is moved to the next family with a child. (if they tell the public) their son gets locked in the bathroom with loss of hearing and sight. The hesband then has to choose between his wife and his child. If he chooses his child, the button is pressed, the wife gets killed, and the hausband gets arrested. and so on.

The button is a symbol of sin. In the movie its very symbolic. Most ppl would press the button. and truth is ppl press the buttom many times a day. and we end up building our own hell in the end. good movie. very intense. The man comes to the door, making them an offer of a death button and a mill.dollar in cash. The woman chooses to push the button and from there on the whole familly is literally going through hell.
