  • heyy, quick question, created a skin texture in photoshop, applied it on my character, i set the value to 100percent so it looks like lambert. When rendering my character in a T pose the result looks good, however when i pose the character and deformation takes place e.g. arms folded pose etc. Hit render i get really sharp shadows casted around the places wher deformation took place, is there any way off softening these shadows, by the way im rendering using maxwells physical sky default.

  • @jamil1985 Nothing immediately comes to mind unless they are sun shadows and are supposed to be dark. Maybe it's an issue with surface normals?

  • @digitalArtform heyy thanks for replying, yeh they are definitely sun shadows, very sharp, almost makes my character look shiny metalic while the roughness is set to 100percent?? my surface normals are pointing outwards soo..?? There has to be an option to make shadows look soft.

  • That's interesting. I had never thought about using a flag like that before. Thank you for another tool!

  • @elbryan9 thanks
