nice review, can't recommend the Vallejo paints enough they were fantastic for me when I was just getting used to thinning paints for my airbrush and there other two major lined (model colour and game colour) are great although they are not thinned to an airbrush-able consistency.
@mokanaman Cheers Alan!!! Might have to invest in a set so I can spray when the kids are at home/asleep!! Did you buy yours on line or from a bricks and mortar store??
@mokanaman Thanks again...am having some issues finding the Model Air paint at the typical places (they only have Model Colour) so I may have to hunt further/deeper!!
awesome I just go a dropper of panzer olive and wanted to know if this was a wash or just thinned paint but the shop keep didn't know because it was new to the shop. Thanks
Cool review! I myself got the basic color set. It's leaflet comes with a table telling which color code of other brands (Tamiya, Revell, Humbrol etc.) the equivalent of vallejo is.
And not to be too picky: It's a Spanish brand. Phew - Not too many ppl are flaming you for that. I'm relieved ;-)
Vallejo paints have always been one of the best in my mind. I use their paints for hand brushing my Flames of War Tanks and always been impressed with the results. The color accuracy and variety is top notch. Never once had a problem with laquer topcoats reacting to it once it dries for a day or so. I'm definately picking up some of these and try them in my spray gun.
I don't understand why you keep rendering your videos like you do. You record in 16:9 but render in 4:3. This makes your footage become tall and destroys the proportions of what you are shooting. Do you understand what I mean? If you only want 4:3 format, you should change the settings in your camera. If you want 16:9 you need to change the settings in your editor, before you do the rendering, to 16:9...
@ModelloursWorkshop I did not know I could do this, will look into it. I'm really bad at editing and am kinda lazy. If it is a simple settings change in my camra then no problems.
If you want to take a look at the leaflet before buying or if you get singles, its available on their website on the page about Model Air paints.

Hi Alan,
Great video as always. A quick question. What about fumes/smell? Does it have a noticeable after smell like Tamiya acrylics?

The paint seams to look shiney in the video, Did you top coat it ? Or is that the paints gloss?

@JohnLoganMcKee03 I did ad a top coat but the gloss paint is really shiney, my top coat may have done very little.

@trejosam00 Sounds like the shop owner is a bit lazy. They should be given booklets on how to use it when selling. Valljo also sells washes.

Thanks for posting this!
I've been curious about these paints for a while now, and it's great to see them in action.
I may look into getting a set sometime in the future, if the price is right.
