  • CHIPMETAL!

  • awesomeeee. definately for a first try.

  • Daft Punk did something similar with a DS

  • you realize it's only chiptune when you actually use...you know..the SOUNDCHIP intended to create these sounds? synthesized bs can't compare to the warmth of what a real GB will give you

  • holy sheit, to good to be true (even as a non-first) o.0

  • @bryanarby LOOK UP LMMS and then look up TWEAK BENCH please spread word to all!!!!!!

  • wait dude, the full rom of LSDJ is only like three bucks on the website. even if you can't afford 45 bucks to get a smart cartridge for the gameboy version you can still get the full ROM file for VBA for like 2 bucks. ;D

  • horrible

  • @MrGrevy

    HHAHAHAHAHA.

    -.-

  • @MrGrevy lol

  • Can I hire you to do my in-game music? That is when I get a company.

  • @HappyViet Why?? This guy is a turd. He sucks.

  • @MrGrevy dude, have you ever tried making chiptunes? this guys awesome for his first try

  • @Kyorere23

Well if he already has experience with other trackers or even instruments, then it isn't that fantastic.

  • Anybody interested in some new Commodore samples?

  • Where did download this?

  • too much kicks..

  • haha, it took me 3 day to even figure out lsdj.

but that was 2 years ago.

  • double pedal!!!!!! this remembers of my first songs with midi :D

  • Pretty good for a first. The melody is a bit boring tbh, but the rest is pretty good.

  • not bad!

  • I love the kicks and claps, really nice tune youve created, good work.

  • AUUUUU

  • 4/5

    But still good!

  • HELP! where can i find the button/control layout for the lsdj rom? i just got it and cant do anything yet as i dont know how to use it..

  • where did you get the ROM fo visual boy advance?

  • the lsdj ron is only $2

  • xP beep boop boo xD HAHA! awsomezz

  • This is waaay too short dude! I really like this, though it would have been nice to hear more noise channels, but nonetheless this is one of the best songs I have heard composed with LSDJ. Reminds me of a Blink-182 song. :D

  • Big wasted opportunity by not utilizing the noise channel... you could have some epic snares or ripping hihats

  • now all u have to do is build a KeyGen and put the music on it XD

  • Sounds like good bgm for a jump ´n run. Well done.

  • The drums are epic.

  • this is a tragic software to be composing on

  • It's epic, easy to use, and it sounds great.

  • Pretty epic first chiptune :D

  • epic double bass intro

  • Nice to be you first:)

  • nice

  • This is amazing...And the fact that it's your first is even more incredible. Everything anyone uploads will get ridiculous comments, so don't take much to heart here. I was wondering; this looks so complicated, I know music and use FL studio and Reason, is this pretty hard to figure out?

  • he doesn't have enough money for a $2 LSDJ license... ok you need another $40 to run it on an actual gameboy, but to run it on PC..... nothing more.

  • LSDJ ?

  • or you could just torrent that shit, idiots.....information is free.

    Rule 64, no exceptions.

  • Has it ever occurred to you that others might not have any accepted payment method and is therefore UNABLE to buy?

(This is the case for me, which makes me sick of people always assuming others just don't have the money to buy anything.)

  • I see your point, but in that case, get someone else to buy it for you.

  • I have personally tried to convince my mother that PayPal IS secure, but she's still *very much* internet-paranoid. And so is my father. Heh. And I doubt my siblings would bother doing it. Blah blah...

I really should get myself a credit card one of these days. Sucks not having one when it's so often needed.

You have a point, anyway; I'm sure many actually have someone they know that wouldn't mind doing the technical stuff for them, if they just got the money needed in cash.

  • Just curious... are you under 16? I am, I got a debit card with my bank account...

  • I don't see how age matters if you don't have an in-come anyway.

    I'm 17, thank you.

  • does it bother you that much that some ignorant internet people think ur broke?

    Low self-esteem?

  • More like "no self-esteem". But it's all about justice. :b

...But you're getting your point through.

  • Prepaid debit cards are available in every major grocery store or 7-11 corner store

  • @eightbitgnosis

You haven't been to Sweden, I can tell...

  • They don't sell them in stores? Odd, but I did a little research and any major bank will sell prepaid debit cards

  • No, what are you talking about?

  • Goto a bank. Ask for a prepaid debit. Give cash, receive prepaid debit. Unless you are trapped in 1970's you should come out successful

  • WTF.

    this is your FIRST?!

    omfg.

    niceeeeeeeeee

  • Yeah, some higher melodies and maybe a break in the drums with some solid melody in places other than the end. I would do the higher melodies over you're 00 phrase.

  • i got lsdj a few hours ago but i dont know the basic controls or how to use it

so if you can help me...

srry if there's something wrong with my english (:

  • Red the manual trut me it tells u evrything u need to know also do some online tutorials

  • i love this

  • respect for this man ***********88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888BITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTrules the sc3ne

  • double bass

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like punk ^^

  • some higher melody would be great but its nice

  • Nice ; D

  • i've set the parameters of the drums like him but in my lsdj they sound horrible..not like this song..how can i get the sound of his drums????????????????????????

  • It isn't bad.. but not perfect.

Rhythmic it's way too wild.. calm down :p

0:47 Hmm? That's a little clinker joint of notes.. and again.. and again.

Listen to Bit Shifter, and compare your music with him ;)

  • :O :O :O sounds like Human after all by daft punk... but other then that its awesome xD

  • sounds like slayer meets pole position. epic!

  • ftooty loops is good and all but its doesnt really have sounds that give it that "chiptune" sound its more just techno... but great song BTW

  • use renoise then

  • magical8bit plugin.

  • that plug messes up my computer. makes it where sound only come out of one speaker till i restart

  • @ Hightquality38

    No, that's just not true.

There are many oscillators you can download and use in a sequencers. Besides: you can make a nice chiptune sound with FL's basic oscillator "3xOsc". ;)

  • That's great for your first, keep it up mate.

  • Am I the only one who thought it sounded like Dan Deacon's Crystal Cat?

  • not really

  • Just something about the intro.

  • very good potential.

    keep it up

  • ok thanks

  • this is driving me insane where did you get little sound dj !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive got the gameboy advance simulator

  • i just bought the cart for my GB. do same

  • don't make them any more.

  • really???? Wow i feel special i got mine in hand!

  • PROCEED!

  • nice one, as for your first try. Reminds me music from Ninja Gaiden on Gameboy.

  • The intro made me think of LSDJ Test by Super Panda Blast - chiptune song of the century!

Go check it out on 8bc, it's a work of art :P

Anyway, I liked this. Maybe a few more arps, and noise drums so you can use WAV for bass. Plus have some different duty cycles in there. Keep going, it's sounding good!

  • Hah nice job man this is great! I dont know why but it never dawned on me that a nice bass line can be made by simply repeating one track and varying the transposition. I'd be creating entirely new tracks each time haha. nice drum beats too!

  • i like that the drum beat gets so fast that its like no human could beat that fast, its crazy

  • how do you get tht on the vba programm

  • Try google?

There is a free version on the lsdj website.

  • awesome xD

  • damn i wish i had this program this is a cool song, haha the drums sound so electronic...i love it

  • Drums should be placed in the pulse channels and noise channels!

  • everything is real good, just the double bass was a bit overpowering

  • god damn Juice

    that is hot.

  • pretty fucking good for a first try. whats wit da drums? how you do that? is that a kit or what cuz i can't figure out fast drums or double bass like that?

  • Wav kits = no!

    otherwise a good song!

  • good!

  • i can finaly use lsdj but annoyingly on my visualboy i can barely hear the drums..even if i use the vol on the table...can u help???

  • i've never been able to figure out multiple instruments in LSDJ... how do you do it?

  • lol double bass chip tune.

    love it

  • omg i could never learn that :| I have nanoloop and thats really easy. (I know LSDJ can do more)

  • WOW. If that was your first time, I can't wait to hear what you can do with some practice..

My first chiptune didn't sound this good, that's for sure.

  • I really like the harmonies you created.

  • pretty good for a first timer! impressive

  • You obviously don't litsen that much to chiptunes I suppose. Its not the best, but its pretty fucking cool.

  • not half bad =) congrats

  • very good, 5/5

  • rad :]

  • can u send me the save file fo rht e song yes/no if yes ill send u mah email

  • wow!

this sounds like it should be on one of those old mario games!

    great work :}

  • were did u find the rom for that i cant seem to find it

  • That's pretty good dude! Bits (no pun intended) need tidying up, but overall it's great. Sounds a bit like what block party would sound like on a gameboy :-p

  • wdo you just download the demo or do you have to download all the sounds for it aswell?

  • It vaguely reminds me of the SS Anne or whatever's music from one of those Pokémon games.

  • i've watched this like 5 times over and it still hasnt got old yet.

    mp3 please ^__^

  • Why not just use ConvertTube?

  • wth is tht?

  • or downloadhelper

  • or even mediaconverter

  • Or FLVtoMP3!?

  • im sorry but THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!

    cheers

  • wingwoahho said: I think there should be a company making 8-bit games for the modern era, they're faster and easier to make, full of nostalgia, and that still doesn't stop good gameplay. They could make a mint

I agree. It seems so obvious, why has no one done it yet?

  • It has been, YMCK make music for games

  • this is awesome, pretty sure your FIRST chiptune would be better than my BEST chiptune. well done :)

  • awesome cools!

  • Can you guys plz help me.I have the demo but dont know how to use it!!! lol were can i get help?

Btw, how do you get the drums?

  • good first shot at lsdj. keep on working at it

  • cool,

    trackers ftw

also just coz its software doesnt mean its not chiptune ;]

You can do more on software and its cheaper, easier and allows a whole new younger generation to be able to make music.

  • i love your tune

  • were have found your lsdj for computer ?

  • I think you need to look a few posts down. It's for the gameboy, and it's running in an emulator.

  • I think there should be a company making 8-bit games for the modern era, they're faster and easier to make, full of nostalgia, and that still doesn't stop good gameplay. They could make a mint

  • wingwoahho-

    google Fairlight

  • i can't use lsdj!

really gets me down it confuses me so much!

  • noob

visualboy advanced is a gameboy emulator

you download the lsdj rom from the site and run it with this emulator.

  • wow, seriously wow. That was the dumbest comment Ive seen this year, so far.

  • how do you make the notes that you used the kit instrument have a higher volume? I am new to lsdj and can not find a way to do this. I tried a lot of things.

  • very nice, i would try it, but that just looks so confusing, so i will just stick to making chiptunes on my computer for now ^^;

  • It's fucking chiptune, you moron. How do you expect him to play it, with a violin?

  • very nice, i would try it, but that just looks so confusing, so i will just stick to making chiptunes on my computer for now ^^;

  • very nice, i would try it, but that just looks so confusing, so i will just stick to making chiptunes on my computer for now ^^;
