I'd knew you'd use that F6. First off it was flat and she NEVER duplicated that again. On the cover of NW she didn't hit it but belted at that place instead which shows it was a fluke. Well for starters, Kelly belts the G. Thats very impressive, A guys chest voice doesn't reach an A5, a mix yes, but ot pure chest voice. You are probably an octave down and just think you are in the same octave. And Kelly can sing higher than that when she mixes or uses head voice, but a G in a belt is very hard. Don't b hatin
Sounded more like a yell and she looked like she was in pain. There are some men who can reach an A5 LOL and everyone who goes up there mixes regardless, no one belts A5 in pure chest voice LOL the chest can't support a note that high on its own. If you type in tawainese boy hits high notes you'll find it, it just has a lot of head voice but its somewhat of a belt and controlled, not yelled like Kel's G5 here.
@ILkBigButts Replying three years later, ha ha. Yeah, I had it mixed up and was hitting an A4. My highest chest note now is a C5 but I usually have to hit it on a run.
its amazing how much her voice has changed since she first started she just cant hit those notes like she used to. She's definitely my favorite artist and i wish she would bring back that incredible voice.

I really hate Regine's voice at this point. For a few songs it was good, but the more I listen to her the more annoying it gets, it's just always too high and higher is not always better. Plus, most of her best performances aren't even her own songs. Not even best, I have yet to see her perform an original song.

Well the notes in songs like Never Again and Sober are different than most of the other high notes she's sung in the past and are a lot harder to sing live. Plus I think most of her live performances recently were done consecutively and she doesn't always rest sufficiently. There are recent performances where she does hit the notes well though, so her voice is still there.

I'd knew you'd use that F6. First off it was flat and she NEVER duplicated that again. On the cover of NW she didn't hit it but belted at that place instead which shows it was a fluke. I could be proven wrong but I was a HUGE KC fan and have seen MANY of her live performances and seen her in concert so trust me, wrong or right, I do have a foundation to my claims.

It was flat and of course it wasn't belted, you can't BELT a note that high, RLMAO. I didn't make it seem that way, because if you read my post I said she belted a note at the place INSTEAD (as in INSTEAD of doing the F6, I figure you'd get that but I guess not) of doing her F6. If it wasn't a fluke how come she
A) Never replicated it again live
B) Didn't hit it on the cover (studio) version of the song

i know you can't belt a note that high you dolt, i'm an opera singer, and despite what you may think i know an aweful lot about singing(probably much more than you( just saying) ). and frankly i don't honestly care about any of your arguements or opinions, because they're getting really repetetive, and are very loosely based, because everything you say has been based around belting in recent performances, which you can't judge on , because for all you know she just may be vocally exhausted

Dude, I'm a guy, and the highest note in my chest voice is an A5. That note in Since U Been Gone is a G5, now that's saying something.

Well for starters, Kelly belts the G. Thats very impressive, A guys chest voice doesn't reach an A5, a mix yes, but ot pure chest voice. You are probably an octave down and just think you are in the same octave. And Kelly can sing higher than that when she mixes or uses head voice, but a G in a belt is very hard. Don't b hatin

Sounded more like a yell and she looked like she was in pain. There are some men who can reach an A5 LOL and everyone who goes up there mixes regardless, no one belts A5 in pure chest voice LOL the chest can't support a note that high on its own. If you type in tawainese boy hits high notes you'll find it, it just has a lot of head voice but its somewhat of a belt and controlled, not yelled like Kel's G5 here.

I really hate Regine's voice at this point. For a few songs it was good, but the more I listen to her the more annoying it gets, it's just always too high and higher is not always better. Plus, most of her best performances aren't even her own songs. Not even best, I have yet to see her perform an original song.

I love Kelly and her songs! but is she ruining her voice? It seems like she pushes too hard sometimes to reach notes and I've really noticed lately her voice is very scratchy when she sings, especially in the new song, "Never Again." Am I the only one who thinks this?

Well the notes in songs like Never Again and Sober are different than most of the other high notes she's sung in the past and are a lot harder to sing live. Plus I think most of her live performances recently were done consecutively and she doesn't always rest sufficiently. There are recent performances where she does hit the notes well though, so her voice is still there.

I love Kelly's voice - so don't get offended. But in my opinion, her voice cracks far too much and she lacks the control to do a ballad as good as some of her peers. The one thing she has, that makes her stand out, is a powerhouse voice. The girl can scream and I like her for that reason.
