@ohifizzle you have the beat part right, but they were not orginally the Silver Beatles, the first name they had was the Black Jacks, and then the Quarry Men then Johnny and the Moondogs, the Beatals, the Silver Beetles, the Silver Beats, and the Silver Beatles, before eventually settling on the Beatles.

I don't "get" the whole "Beatles' Thing"....clearly they each had 2 legs....if you add up all their legs together it's 8 and Beetles have 6 legs...I guess if they'd called themselves "The Spiders" it might make sense...also Beetles are not known for their music making abilities but Crickets clearly are....so it's all just a big mystery to me....I think they were right up there with the Monkees though and maybe even as good as the Cowsills although I'll have to give that one some thought....

No kidding.These bands I mentioned don't come close to The Beatles. I was responding to @ZZZZAS comment that the beatles were right up there with Monkees and the Cowsills,where he said "I dont get the whole Beatle thing" I wasnt being serious.No band ever came close to the beatles.Thats why I said "drop some acid and listen to Strawberry Fields."LONG LIVE THE BEATLES!!
