  • A fantastic song

  • Has this really been 40 years already?..hard to believe.Whenever I come across Slade and T.Rex, I feel like 13 again...

  • @atzengruber ah the good old days

  • Noddy holder, Jim Lea, Dave Hill, Don Powell YaY like a teenager again...

  • Great video. Havent heard this one in years!

  • Britny Fox did a good cover.

  • Slade is Great!

  • NO TRUER WORDS SPOKEN @ arthurpussy,so many groups/singers have come through on programmes like x factor that people dont know what tallent is these days.the mighty slade wer'e doing the pubs/clubs rounds in the 60s and working day jobs too and paying there own travel costs even for there little van.I cant imagine them earning any money from it, but the experience they got showed ten fold. Its about time things like the x factor wer'e dumped where they belong, in the bin !!!!

  • @brighton43 i agree. i first heard Slade Alive after school at a friends house in 1977. it blew the shit out of me, i instantly loved it for its rawness and brutal live power. SLADE ROCKED. Noddy Holders vocals hit me at full force.

  • j'adore !! du rock pur , efficace !! Eternel !! des riffs qu'on retient. De la dérision et cette voix rock de Noddy Holder !! et sa marche de fier... Ah yeah !! I love !!

  • @billylebraillard Je t'aime aussi!

  • @BillyStacksaMates wouaahh !!

  • j'aime !! j'adore !! Slade un de mes groupe favoris de l'époque !! I love !!

  • @billylebraillard tiré de l'album " slayed" où il y a aussi une version de "healous guy" ! i'm slayed for ever !

  • I think this was the first album i bought

  • they were the best then and looking back so good , dont see themm on ex factor do you this is from the time bands played and payed the dues

  • if id been alive when this came out, i would have fancied noddy. What a quality band

  • What a Golden Oldie....................

  • Sitting with friends in my buddy Soren's basement in 1974, drinking Carlsberg and listening to Slade!!Yeahhh!!

  • this song made me start listen to Slade

  • Loudest band I ever heard in concert! (1974) I loved them though!!!! Glam Rock !! Yeah!!!!

  • I think that Slade is almost unknown in United States because they never were a commercial band. Slade has a lot of fans in Mexico and they know that

  • @MrCaifanero

I saw Slade many, many years ago, here in Canada. We love Slade. Fantastic rock. :)

  • This is live. Sadly their glam image probably hurt them in North America where they were not take seriously, much like the Sweet, another quality songwriting band. We had too many glam bands in NA that would never as good as these bands

  • Awesome. C'mon Noddy, get it back together and take us all back 'ome!

  • Comment removed

  • so did they go from Slade to Quiet Riot or the other way around?

  • @tom080955 I want you know that Quiet Riot tried to copy that Slade,s style even the singer was a fake of Noddy Holder

  • I have always liked Slade. When I was a younger man I had all their albums. Did they start the Glam-Rock Genera?

  • Was war das für ein super Musikjahrzehnt......unvergeßlich und unerreichbar

  • long live Glam

  • Poor Dave Hill, with broken leg(((

  • there all pluged in here this is LIVE ! and it sounds just like the recordings !! how many bands could do that today ?? NONE i would say !

    Awesome band...

  • @alzys1771 Everything in your comment is so true. Dave

  • Just powerful & beautiful.....wish the time machine was still working . Id zip back to 72 in a flash : Slade Quo Sabbath Purple Zepp ,,,,,,, man what a decade :-)

  • The first single I ever bought...

  • Toujours entrainant apres 40 ans

  • @wallozzy So true, mate.

  • What a solid ball of freaking rock n roll! A performance that cold play and nickelback can never achieve/duplicate.

  • ....and they're playing LIVE!!!!!!

    Steve

  • Arran64 l think you could be right after listening to the lyrics,

  • I love this song... I have a theory that it's about a transvestite. Listen to the lyrics!

  • went to see slade in 1973/74 at the stadium in liverpool when l was 16 l managed to stand at the side of the stage about 20 foot away ,one of the best nights of my life, when they were coming of the stage l ran and kissed noddy on the side of the face, then l nearly kissed jimmy lee until a bloodly big bouncer throw me from one side of the stage to the other, still a brill time l told everyone about it for years and years l think l bored everyone to death didnt care slade were brilliant .

  • The song was written in 1972, but their appearance is absolutely eighties fashion.

  • excellent bassist

  • @blackserpent100

Jimmy Lea is one of rock's most underated bass players.

    Tremendous.

Check out the bass on 'Cum On Feel the Noize' for exceptional rock bass.

  • Bostin'

  • i would never, ever consider anyone but Knoddy to front my band. He is "the singer". [Hey, what you wanna do?} In the end, it does come down to that. There is no other person except Knoddy, and frankly his drummer, that woudl not maike a packed house today, detroit 2010. you bet your ass.j

  • christ it was ace been 12 in 72

  • @twelvemeister Agree wholeheartedly Twelve. Fantastic times.

    LLTMS!!

  • a very unestimated band , if only they made it in America.

  • Noddy sounds exactly the same live or in the studio!

  • @marynightshade

Yep. No fancy studio tricks with Noddy's voice.

    What a great band.

  • I'm sure lady Wulfruna would agree, Other than Locks and Norton motorcycles Slade are surely the best thing to come out of Wolverhampton.

  • God the bass guitar sounds so good in this performance!

  • These guys pre date AC DC

  • Jane was this American chick they met in a hotel, down in London, and wowed them with her forty step boots

  • They seem to have a lot of fans in Poland. They r from Dudley, I think, wtf.

  • Those were the days :)

  • funking brilliant, thanks for posting.

  • These guys sound like a freight train! Better than rapcrap any day!

  • brill

  • Slade rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • noddy for president !

  • The loudest group of all time...

They played here once in the 70s, and were so loud that girls got on top their boyrfriends' shoulders to flip double birds at 'em.

  • Motorhead are louder.

  • @NickOLarse999 Slade are better

  • @NickOLarse999 respect mr larsen.only the devil him self were louder than the mighty slade.any one of these 4 lads would not be out of place in any so called super groupe of the 1970s.no plucker sold more records in the 70s than slade in the u k ..moterhead how many hits did they have..mmmm. i could count them on 2 fingers

  • lets have a reunion

    from the leics fan

  • Absolutely brilliant!!!!!!!!

  • - Mocny hit dyskotekowy z lat siedemdziesiątych! Uwielbiałem ten utwór. Świetny kawałek do szalonego tańca. Grajcie chłopaki to zawsze...

  • Original Wolves Skinheads !

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    naum to intendebdo nds!!!!!!!

    ppppppppppppppoooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Any one remember the Promo for this, Saw it once on TOTP, just featured Slade running around a hospital pushing a girl on a gurney.

  • If you have more Slade things fritz51325 post them, and I'll subscribe to you :P

  • Where did you got this one from? There are too little Slade DVDs!

  • Love the goof at 01:30 who elbows his girlfriend in the nose!

  • Yes, very funny!

  • I love slade! they are amazing! they were the first classic rock band I have ever listened too. I remember when I was 4 years old I would sing "we'll bring the house down!" every morning. It was such an excitment for me!

  • @TheJohnnyMetal Aarghhh! Classic Rock? And you say you are a fan? This is GLAM ROCK.

  • @FFM0594 Glam rock is in fact only a dressing style for which 'tag' Slade have been mispercepted for. Slade have in fact played more styles and genres than almost every other music act in the history of pop. Your post exemplifies how misaligned and underrated Slade still are.

  • @TheJohnnyMetal Sweet; ;-))
