2:44+ - My fave part, yet Andre somehow doesn't seem to emphasize it properly - the mysterious, middle-eastern influence here n all. Oh well. I heard my fave version of Un Sospiro when I heard it for the first time. (This happens a lot w/ me, esp. w/ Chopin songs - the 1st version I hear usually turns into my favorite version, which is quite curious.) Oh well, great playin there I guess.
That is a very interesting comment and made me think of my either "favorite" or "most loved" version in college, played by a dear friend at his senior recital. He also played Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude" for me at his home, several times and I always remember how my hair stood on end. It is hard for me to choose absolute favorites, but it is fun. Best wishes to you. C.
Beautiful...this is one I got right in my Musical Appreciation Class final at Duke. Now if you could only upload the main melodic theme from Beethoven's Sixth Symphony, Second Movement ("Traveling Through The Countryside"). Maybe you can bring back classical music, yet. We sure need it! Regards, John
