This movie was soooo good. I remember after I saw it with my parents we sat there in the theatre for like 10 minutes after the movie had ended and were just stunned by what we saw. I made the prediction right then and there that this film would win the Best Picture Oscar and I was right.

Who cares if they're brown??? My god people. It was a beautiful moment. The film was beautifully produced from start to finish, with an amazing screenplay and great acting to back it up. More important than that, Slumdog Millionaire is a story worth telling as it is the sad reality of many in India. It was refreshing to see the whole cast of essentially "nobodies" in Hollywood ascend the Oscar stairs, it beats seeing everyday "Hollywood" celebrate themselves year after year.

This is the best movie I have seen in years. I saw the movie before the Oscar was given and I knew they were going to win because it was way too good to not win.

@disneyxfrreak dude a lot of kids in the world have bad lives, you think that just because they acted in a movie, they deserve to escape it? huh? they are lucky director danny boyle found them and made them stars for a night at least. and dont even bother to think the kids are natural talents, cause they are not, if it was any other director directing them, they would have been terrible. so stop treating these kids like they made a unbelievable acheivement. they were lucky period.

the dark knight wasnt even nominated for best picture? what the hell, it was cleary the best movie made in 2008, and one of greatest movies. the acting, story, theme of the dark knight was mindblowing.

TDK should have been nominated and won best picture. The Oscars are a scam. They feel since TDK is already a box-office smash, why promote it even futher? So they give the award to terrible films to sucker movie go-ers into watching it.

great movie, very well done and obviously deserved. the problem is that some of the children are still living the exact same way as they're portrayed in the film… the money earned should be at least in part going to change that

i didnt like the films nominated (except benjamin button) slumdog only won because all the other award shows voted for that i didnt even know about it until the peoples choiced awards and most of the films came out during christmas

It's pure truly made film, has no famous star, low budget of production, but Im always delight when watching this movie over and over again. Totally deserve 8 oscar on that night

Who cares if they're brown??? My god people. It was a beautiful moment. The film was beautifully produced from start to finish, with an amazing screenplay and great acting to back it up. More important than that, Slumdog Millionaire is a story worth telling as it is the sad reality of many in India. It was refreshing to see the whole cast of essentially "nobodies" in Hollywood ascend the Oscar stairs, it beats seeing everyday "Hollywood" celebrate themselves year after year.
