@Applachia0928 Amtrak is a failure. People who will never use need to be tapped in their taxes to prop up its mostly dismal service.Train service is limited and cannot be moved or change with population needs thus doomed to overcrowding. It was a transportation system that failed but the government came in to prop up the loser. The bus is the best mechanism for public transportation in most of the country as it can be for flexible change and growth. Fast trains are interesting but useless.
