  • Ok, I hope I don't put you on the wrong track! (costing you time) :) I just noticed that there are two vapor trails of some sort behind the vehicle and that around 0:09 seconds they started "wobbling". Maybe it's nothing. I just guessed they were due to the exhaust of the roll thrusters. Anyway, just focus on what you were doing and what the data tells you! ;) I'm NO rocket scientist (just some other type of scientist) and you guys had a much better view.

    Cheers

  • You must have a very sharp eye! We have been completely focused on the vertical stability and x-y position control over the past couple weeks. We really have not looked closely at the attitude performance. The attitude thrusters should not fire all the time. Briefly looking at some of the test data though, they look like they are functioning properly and kicking on and off over the short flight...

  • Looks very stable for the first few seconds! From the "contrails" it looks like the roll thrusters are continually firing. Are they supposed to? Secondly, they look like they're a bit loose towards the end (oscillation in the exhaust). Is that an optical illusion or real (e.g. turbulence)?
