  • Yah know it wouldn't hurt to to a FFVI Locke's Chronicles because he is a treasure hunter, i'd do it post VI, still feature some of the returners too but mainly Locke and Rachel.

  • this is one of the best arrangements I've heard of this song, and I've heard many... I love the electric guitar that comes in around 1:30... brilliant.

  • each time I come back to this song I click the "Like" Button, just to be sure I clicked it.. The Picture + Music is such an awesome combination..

  • Amazing cover

  • So awesome, no dislikes :DDDDD That's how every S.S.H. song should be like :)

  • I've listened to the original so many damn time at school because of my friend xD once he made the teacher dance to that in front of the class xD It's one of the best song in the game :D (part of the opera too, and I like unforgiven for some reason, and Shadow's theme and... you know what, all the god damn tracks xD) You can say what you want about FF but Nobuo Uematsu always did amazing soundtracks, especialy six and nine.

  • Saishuu Saitama Heiki is so gewd~ ,_,

  • Do you remember the days when RPG's weren't full of whiny self intitled brats, when there were real troubles, dark troubles, going in the world, and when the heroes were the only ones who could stand against the destroying darkness? Kefka murdered millions, made the remainder bow to him, became a god, rended the earth, splintered the hero's party. These old games are dark, FFIV and FFVI, and they put the new stuff to shame.

  • @kaimialana IX was a bit of a throwback I guess. Kuja, like Kefka, also succeeded in their plans. Kuja was simply thwarted by a deus ex machina

  • @BattleJesus Agreed on all it said. The storyline of FFIV and FFVI are epic. I finished those 2games so often. Stuff I like about FFIV: Radya became an ophan, Kain betrayed his party and then come with his free will, Cecil becaming a pally, sacrifice of Yang, Cid, Porom and Polom, The Big whale. Stuff I like about: EVERYTHING.. just the perfection! After those 2, I tried FFVII & FFVII and I left the FF series until I played FFIX: Vivi is awsome. He got hooked to FFIX. :)

  • @ChuckyDoll79 I mean... After those 2 (FFIV & FFVI, I tried FFVII & FFVIII and I left the FF series until I played FFIX.

    fixed

  • @BattleJesus DONT EVER BRING UP THAT SHITTY FF9 EVER AGAIN! worst of all the final fantasies was 9 how fucking dare you consider that even remotely good at all

  • @Xarai

I'll bet you're a Final Fantasy VII fanboy. Final Fantasy IX IS a great game, then and now.

  • @timboslice741 nope ff 6 all the way ff9 had worst storyline worst gameplay - worst character design - worst character development - worst effects- worst worldview/map- worst chocobo concept DAMN did it suck

  • @kaimialana Nier

  • This is insanely beautiful.

  • Final Fantasy 6 is probably one of the very first, and definitely one of the very best examples of videos games as a work of art. From the story, theme, characters, and music; it all fits together and compliments everything else so well. Then to have it culminate with Dancing Mad and the Ending Theme Medley and finally topped off with the Theme From Final Fantasy. Truly a brilliant masterpiece.

  • god damn

  • Locke had been searching the entire game (and part of his life) for some way to make things right. Even with the world ending, he searches to rectify a wrong with his first love. If this isn't a touching moment, I don't know what is.

  • I love the ending where Locke redeems himself by saving Celes. The same thing that happened to Rachel almost happened to Celes.

  • FF IV is a TRUE classic, and one of the greatest rpg's (as are many Squaresoft games)....but it is the Final Fantasy games that made them what they were (until the merger *cries*)

  • @Righteousclaim Not gonna argue with you on that... because either way you're right, but did you mean VI(6) and not IV(4)?

  • No dislikes =P

  • I love this music, it's so good! =D

  • Locke took Rachel to Mt. Kolts, looking for what would become her engagement ring. Upon crossing a rickety bridge, it began to collapse with Locke on it, before Rachel pushed him out of the way just in time, taking the fall for him and losing her memory.

Rachel was killed one year later in a raid by the Empire; after that, Locke searched far and wide for a way to bring her back to life. but he did not find it until after the world was destroyed

  • He heard of the legendary Esper Phoenix that could revive the dead and immediately went searching for it.

When he got to Kohlingen, he used the Phoenix Esper on Rachel. Despite this, the cracked Magicite shard could only revive her for few seconds.

  • 感動です、ロックとレイチェルのシーンを思い出す。

    セリスにレイチェルの想いを託すシーンが感動。

  • Very nice music... and picture. But I guess Rachel should have had wavy hair there.

  • Is it weird to hate and at the same time love the story? I hate sad stories, but at the same time it's really good..

  • @DonYagamoth it's not. there are some stories you just hate to happen (take a look at Freya, ff9) yet you cannot feel but respect/love/experience what they have been through.

  • True Love Can Never Diminish When It Echo's Through Your Soul For A Lifetime

You Carry That Person Through Life In Each Waking Second And You Meet Once More In Your Dreams Every Night. The Day Is Never Empty Because Of The Link You Share And Every Second Is A Memory Of A Moment You Felt The Love Back. 'thats what you get outta me while listening to that=)'

  • Please, let go of the chains that bind your heart... I release you...

Give your love to the one who now dwells within your heart... Love her...as you loved me...

  • this makes me cry because it is so good.....I MISS THIS GAME! GIMME A FU*KING SEQUEL TO ONLY FFVI DAMMIT!!!!

  • It always makes me sad, the relationship of Locke and Rachel. At least he got closure and peace...

  • I think back, so long ago when I was young.. what's the year? -- 2010 now...

I played this game first when it came out in 1994.. I was 8 years old. Just a kid ...

I didn't know what love meant until I saw the scene with Rachel and Locke.

    Many years later.. I understand...

You don't know how much you love someone until they are gone.

FFS I'm a grown man now and this song made me cry.

  • @Vibrenium i can symphasise with you as i was in the exact same boat. i played it on PS1 and the exact same thing happened to me, and i never realised it until i listened to this and replayed the game.

the torrent of emotions made me cry alone from this piece, combined in with what happened, broke me down considerably.

  • Definately Final Fantasy is the original series that has created the best moments of our gaming life time! No matter what Final Fantasy Stands out! NOBUO UEMATSU FTW!

  • Oh...just, stunningly beautiful. This gave me shivers all over.

  • i give locke the phoenix magicite till the end

  • Esa escena de Locke y Rachel de verdad me hizo ponerme triste

  • One word... Flawless! *Bows to SSH*

  • Gets me every time...

  • Waoh, love that picture ;-)))

The first time I played through FFVI, I never got to find that Phoenix Cave where Locke was hiding o-O Can you BELIEVE how awfully sad was the ending without Locke ??!! I really thought he was dead + he was the only character that I couldn't find again : THAT was really heartbreaking XD. The ending with Celes all alone was really sad too :(((

  • @finaltorment I never missed anyone really - I just forgot to do all of Shadow's dream sequences.

and if you want,I can get you the picture

  • @BattleJesus Hi there, you can get the picture? How? I would LOVE to have this picture. FFIV is my brother's favorite (mine as well) final fantasy, and this would be such a good gift to him for his birthday coming up.

  • @Adamwaddum Check in the video description. I added a link to it

  • @finaltorment The fact that the game allowed you to have such a sad ending makes it great. You could beat the game with just Celes Sabin and Setzer, but it'd be the worst ending ever.

  • @mrmoogle44 And bloody difficult

  • This needs more views. This was a beautiful arrangement of a beautiful song. I think this is the only song in video game history that made me cry

  • @Tikku4ever

I would say the same, except for the only one that made me cry part.

This game made me cry a lot. Remember the Phantom Train? ;-( *sniffle sniffle*

  • There are few songs in video games that I would describe as heartbreaking. This is one of them.

    Great job.

  • el mejor juego de Snes y este uo de sus mejores temas =D

  • I remember the first time I played, I was like "Fuuck am I going to have to choose between a new player or an esper??"

    xD

  • Ever since I saw those scenes with Locke and Rachel, i felt really bad for Locke... I mean, he wanted to find the one thing that could revive his loved one... bu in the end... it didn't matter, but at least he was able to talk to her one last time. =(

  • @zanrokand88

I feel exaclty the same way about this. Phoenix was a pretty strong esper though :) Life 3 ftw

  • @zanrokand88 It was one of the defining moments of FF6, I have to say.

  • The download link is jacked r.r. Opens some Yahoo media player whenever I click to download. T_T

  • I think this version is good. Even with the percussion it still sounds good.

  • awesome picture. brilliant soundtrack. poor locke, he vowed to protect celes and terra because of what happened to rachel...

  • I'd love to listen to a version without the percussion. As it is, though, it's still good.

  • Good, but I don't like it as much as the original.

    Lacks the emotional impact.

  • Truly SSH's style to add those percussions in there. Even though it doesn't fit with the original mood of the song, they inspire much more than this sad mood and add a new dimension to the sat theme that was "Forever Rachel". Good job, seriously.

  • So true. Now that I listen to it, the guitar and the drums give the second half of it less of a mourning sad feel, and more of a striving to overcome the grief feel

  • Comment removed

  • This is one of the better remakes on this song, but I didn't care for the percussion. If you took that out, it would be great, but as is, it's good. Nice job.

  • This is very nice. Did you draw the picture?

  • The backgroung music is different, but still lovely.Thanks.

  • Love this very much.

  • buena imagen
