Actually, this bike is quite awesome. The VF(R) series Interceptors were quite the bike from the mid-eighties to the early nineties.

I'm not a genius but I'm quite sure that spitting flames = something ain't right even in a high performance set up. Your underglow kit is very bright, I just did mine for my rear wheel.

Revving it up is fine as long as the engine is warmed up. Doing wheelies on a VFR is different as when on the back wheel the front 2 cylinders get starved of oil and prolonged wheelies will seize the engine. This can be cured by relocating the oil pick up to the back of the sump.

Although high revving wouldn't bother this bike, in fact no Honda is bothered by high revs, the wheelies are still not good for the suspension. The exhaust sounds good though. I rarely did wheelies with mine because I weighed over 200lbs!

I hate to see a VFR being abused. I mean, shooting flames isn't that cool, so why torture your engine like that. And yeah, I ride a '92, and they are very front heavy, and if you are not good at bringing it down soft, a hard drop out of a wheelie can be hell on the front forks.

I had one of these. Absolutely fantastic bikes. That V4 engine is music. And no they don't wheelie well :) though I did manage a few good ones on the Avon Park strip (Bulldog bash - run what ya brung)

I cannot say i agree check out my vids... i know how to ride my bike and i know how to wheelie and I beleve the vfr is too heavy and too low on torque to be wheelied easily not saying it cannot be done but there are many bikes far easer to wheelie, what were your other 38 bikes? Jawas and vespas? or Harleys?

I have the same bike, RC36 in Red. Doesn't sound quite as sweet as that though. Pace the throttle & get your chest over the tank to hold the wheelie.
