The ROC Navy should buy new Destroyer, Corvette, & Frigates from US or France. Is always important to modernize your military our wise your neighbor going to kick your ass by occupied it. If Taiwan buy these weapons that I type it down they should be ok to defend themselves from China in the future. This would keep US and France out of the war.

Taiwan military need to modernize. The ROC air force is too weak to face the PLAAF. The F-16A/B and Mirage 2000 doesn't stand a chance against J-20, J-18, J-15, J-10A/B, J-11B/BH, & FC-1. The ROC need too buy new SAM like French built SAMP-T or USA/GERMANY/ITALY MEADS. The ROC Army & Marines war machines are useless against PLA Ground Forces and Marines war machines. The ROC Navy are weaker than PLA Navy. I give Taiwan military what equipment they need today and in the future.

到了江南後國民黨國防部認為劉汝明的第8兵團兵員充足，讓其防守長江防線。其實國民黨的國防部也夠蠢的，看過劉汝明的歷史後誰還會相信這樣一支軍隊能打大仗。當解放軍橫渡長江後劉汝明的部隊立刻全線潰退。湯恩伯知道劉汝明不戰而逃，大發雷霆，當即打電報給劉汝明，命令他務必堅守江防陣地，阻止共軍渡江。

他也是国民党的一位兵团司令，和刘伯承交手也不是一次两次了，在解放战争的头一年刘汝明曾在刘伯承的指挥下遭受沉重打击，被歼1万6千人。1947年1月刘伯承发起了巨、金、鱼战役包围了金乡，刘汝明命其弟刘汝珍率部前去解围，途中被歼4个团。3月蒋介石为了集中兵力，重点进攻山东和陕北两个解放区，布置了一条黄河防线，刘汝明率2个师负责守备东阿到开封沿河阵地。6月30日刘邓大军在黄河沿线三百多里的正面一举突破黄河防线，当时徐州听说刘邓过江了，急忙打电话问刘汝明是怎么回事，刘汝明居然回答说只听说共军打了几百发炮弹过来，至于过没过江则不知道。后来刘汝明自知敌不过刘伯承，只好急电部队撤退到郓城、菏泽两地，固守待援。7月10日郓城被攻破，他的部队全部被歼，只有他的师长曹福林只身逃回。1948年淮海战役中刘汝明率第八兵团，奉命与李延年兵团北上救援黄伯韬、黄维，重新打通津浦路。受命后，他行动迟缓，畏缩不前，当受到解放军阻击时，便立刻掉头先跑了，一下子退到淮河以南。尽管有蒋介石的严令，和剿总司令刘峙亲自督阵，刘汝明也全然不顾。

張淦 這也是一個出名的人物，連毛澤東都知道他的大名。張淦是白祟禧手下當了18年的中將司令。此人有一大愛好，熟讀易經，喜歡打卦，滿腦子迷信思想。不知道這樣的人才白祟禧是怎麼讓他當上大官的，在網上有人對桂系軍閥頗多讚揚，中共和桂系之間賺得少，賠得多，但在我看來還不是那一回事嗎，就從這個張淦看來，桂係就不怎麼樣。 在49年解放軍大進軍的時候張淦被抓，他的被捉還是在於他太小看解放軍的作戰能力了。他帶著他的兵團部逃到博白時，解放軍尚在北流，距博白整整180裡，張淦自信地說，共軍行軍能力再強，一天也走不了200裡。

而解放軍第43軍128師382團此刻已經作好奔襲博白城，活捉張淦的戰鬥準備。其結果解放軍快速行軍，連夜跑到博白，當時天太黑，解放軍被張淦兵團的哨兵當成自己人，解放軍趨勢衝進博白。這時張淦兵團才明白過來，一時間槍聲大作。解放軍都打進城裡了，張淦這位兵團司令卻在屋裡打卦，電影《大進軍-席捲大西南》的一個場景有張淦被捉的畫面，幾個四野的戰士衝進張淦的司令部，抓住了張淦，一個戰士問，你就是張淦嗎，在得到確定後拍著他的肩膀說，唉呀媽呀，可把你給逮著了，東北話在我聽來十分的親切，更有一種說不出的好笑，我記得有一段時間里東北話在網上很流行，有時候東北話成了幽默的象徵，看著電影裡的這一段總讓我想笑。
張軫 張軫此人，早年畢業於日本士官學校，回國後曾任黃埔軍校戰術總教官。北伐時期張軫屢建戰功，兩克南昌，佔九江，攻安慶，取蕪湖，直搗南京，從團長升到南京城防司令。參加過著名的台兒莊大戰，因對日作戰有功，被升為軍長，並獲三等寶鼎勳章。 但是同解放軍打內戰以來，他連戰皆北，每戰必輸。

1947年8月，張軫奉蔣介石之命，指揮兩個整編師和一個獨立旅在汝河南岸防守，但是沒有阻住劉鄧大軍的南下。蔣介石為此對他嚴加訓斥，令他窮追圍剿，然而劉鄧、陳粟、陳謝三支大軍互為犄角，使張軫等許多國民黨軍隊連吃敗仗。 1948年張軫率5萬餘人被解放軍團團包圍，東闖西撞，部隊被攔腰斬成數段，才交戰2個小時其主力即被擊潰，張軫四面楚歌，陷入絕境。幸虧白祟禧派飛機把他接到武漢，才倖免於難。 同年6月，粟裕打開封，蔣介石令劉汝明、張軫、區壽年、邱清泉4個兵團馳援。面對粟裕的口袋陣邱清泉乘隙北逃，劉汝明按兵不動，張軫也顧慮重重，且看且行，只見區壽年兵團一步步進入到口袋裡，不到幾天的功夫，5萬4千人被殲，眾人解救不及，讓張軫大驚失色又一次領略到了解放軍的厲害。 事實使張軫明白，共產黨必勝，國民黨在戰場上不是共產黨的對手，最後在解放軍渡江後，張軫率部起義。

黃伯韜 他還算是個很出色的將領，只可惜他是個雜牌，他也知道這點，所以他每戰必誓死爭先，只有這樣他才能在蔣軍中站住腳，才能保住官位，權力。不過他還是個久染於舊中國官場的軍人，同樣也有一些官場弊病，他雖能打仗，同時也有蔣軍那種擴充實力，同樣勾心鬥角的毛病。淮海戰役一開始的打擊是落到他的頭上來的，劉峙把兩個軍的編制劃歸他的名下，他在海安整整等了兩天，把電話追問部隊到底什麼時候集中，劉峙卻總和他哼哼哈哈，有一次他氣得把電話的聽筒都摔壞了，據說當時國民黨軍中經常補充的物資中有一項是電話聽筒。開始不明白是怎麼回事，後來才知道都是這麼摔壞的。黃伯韜在海安等也就算了，他就沒想到在運河上架上幾座浮橋，他十萬大軍要撤退到徐州只靠一座鐵路橋，怎麼可能呢，而且他手下的部隊互相爭搶過橋，秩序大亂，甚至發展到了兵戎相見。撤退的速度不但不快，反而更慢了，粟裕知道後說黃伯韜是昏了頭了。胡宗南 有人說他是抗戰名將，我看不出來，不過打內戰他還是很積極的，尤其是奉蔣介石之命進攻延安，不過打下延安是時已經是座空城，胡宗南自從發起進攻延安令，只打了兩個硬仗，使共軍傷亡不到一人，可謂戰果平平。

胡宗南嚴格控制中央社，一直拖延多時，才告知中央社發布兩則電訊。 3月20日，《中央日報》頭版頭條刊載上則中央社西安電訊，卻冠以“國軍收復延安，生俘共軍一萬餘人”的標題。本來這是自欺欺人，可是蔣介石卻信以為真，發電報說：“10日後，中外記者必來延安參觀”。胡宗南一看不由得慌了手腳，因為延安是中共中央主動撤離的，胡的軍隊是開進延安那座空城的。再說這“五萬共軍俘虜”和繳獲的無數武器彈藥怎麼給中外記者參觀呢？胡宗南急中生智，在延安周圍設戰俘營十座，抓來五百名村民，再從國軍中挑出一千五百多人，日夜加緊排練。讓他們背熟“我是俘虜”就行了。再問，就不回答，狠狠瞪大眼睛就行了。在記者參觀時由這個俘虜營再轉到另一個俘虜營。在戰績陳列室裡因槍支太少，只好把國軍一個團的武器“繳械”運來。白天展出，晚上再返回去，可是這樣還是害怕共軍趕來夜襲，那國軍就手無寸鐵了為顯示眾多共軍被擊斃，造了一些假墳，立了一些真碑。但被俘共軍人數少，包括傷兵只有幾十人，他們思想頑固。

為此從商城防務部隊整編二十七師選調幾百名官兵，穿雜色衣服，冒充共軍俘虜，經過幾天訓練，可應付記者提問，不安排記者接觸老百姓，因為留下來的大都是婦孺老弱，態度敵對，居處分做，一不小心就任上地雷，有時還會碰上冷槍。接著南京來電，中外記者五十五人，代表國內外報館通訊社三十九家，由沈昌煥帶隊坐飛機到了延安。大批中外記者在延安如飢似渴地採訪，一夥國軍大兵在延安市郊埋墳堆，往舊墳堆上揚新土。記者上前用腳一踢就露出舊墳來了，這裡埋的不是共軍屍體。記者又擁到幾處戰俘管理營。看那裡坐在地上的俘虜互相捅捅戳戳在鬧笑話，不像是從戰場上抓來的俘虜。有的記者當場問過一些被俘虜的人。一轉身工夫，他問過的俘虜又在別處出現了。他奇怪地問；“餵。方才見過面，怎麼又到這裡來了。” 那個俘虜說：“我們是坐大卡車跑來的，怎麼會慢呢？”記者問：“你到底是什麼人？” 俘虜說：“我是國軍。”。 記者又問：“我在哪個俘虜營見過你呀。” 俘虜說：“那不怪我，長官叫我當什麼兵我就當什麼兵呀。我比那個人還強，他是老鄉當俘虜。”

惹得記者哈哈大笑，大講上胡宗南的當了。有的記者見陳列的槍支是美式新機槍、衝鋒槍、中正式步槍，他們此同：這類軍是和國軍裝備一樣用？不由得問道：“這是共軍使用的槍械嗎？講解員被問住了，半晌說：“這原來是國軍的槍，被共軍繳了械，這次共軍又被國軍繳了械。 ”記者乘飛機返回南京，國民政府新聞部門請泰晤士報記者談談延安之行的觀感。那位記者說：“政府軍隊佔領延安確實轟動，非同一般。不過，據我看，距離勝利還很遙遠，這不過是金字塔尖的勝利。 ”國民黨新聞官問：這怎麼說呢？”記者說，延安僅僅是一個中國赤都，因為你們沒和共軍更激烈地交火，他門還會找你們打的。 ”氣得胡宗南大罵，說這些記者是一群耍筆桿子的窮酸臭。 不但如此，胡宗南虛榮心澎脹，他知道在抗戰後為了紀念張自忠，中國有一個縣被命名為自忠縣，他也想來個名垂青史，想要把延安的名給改了，改成宗南縣。於是拉關係走後門，什麼手段都用上了，本來這事辦得挻順的，可是沒成想國軍不爭氣，只過了一年多就把延安又給丟了，讓辦改名的事的人十分惋惜，不無遺憾地說，如果要能再多守一陣就好了，那樣就能辦下來了。

杜聿明 他也算是一個優秀的軍人，很多人都祟拜他，不過他還是有一些官場弊病的，他唯蔣介石之命是從，在戰場上這樣的軍人是終究無法有大的作為的。解放戰爭中在東北戰場上，他奉行先南後北的政策，用兵向南滿進攻，南滿軍民在陳雲的帶領下開始了四保臨江的戰鬥，同時林彪率領的部隊也進行了三下江南的戰鬥，杜聿明左支右絀，十分兒狼狽。 就說這樣一件事吧，林彪在二下江南之戰打德惠不獲而退，杜聿明大為欣喜，想自己三打臨江，屢屢失敗。這次德惠之戰，竟能堅守不破，實可請功。於是，他找來手下能言善吹之人，杜撰了一份戰果報告，送到南京，邀功請賞。大肆吹噓國民黨軍喜獲“德惠大捷，殲滅共軍十萬”。 蔣介石拿到戰果報告，喜出望外，猶如漫漫暗夜中見到了一縷灼亮的光芒。他與杜聿明一樣，早就希望能聽到東北的喜訊了。得此戰報，不禁忘形，竟以為林彪確實不堪一擊，他繞過杜聿明，直接命令孫立人和陳明仁渡過松花江，直搗林彪根據地。

孫立人、陳明仁這才聽從了杜聿明，正待把已調出的軍隊撤回，不想，林彪已抓住時機於1947年3月8日打響了三下江南的戰鬥。
孫陳二人見蔣介石拋開杜聿明，直接向自己下達命令，自以為深得寵信，遂整軍出征，堅持要渡江北上。
杜聿明嚇得大驚失色，急忙打電話給已經動身了的孫陳二人，要求他們迅速撤回到原防區。不料孫立人、陳明仁誓要忠於蔣介石，根本不聽杜聿明的勸告，非要過江不可。 杜聿明又氣又急，電話裡無法直說，只好親自趕到德惠，當面告訴他們：“此次共軍在德惠並未受到多大損失，到底傷亡多少你們還不知道嗎？現據情報，共軍從我方被俘人員口中已了解到我們力量不大，極有可能捲土重來。你們必須迅速撤回原防，準備對付共軍下一步的進攻。” 此時，孫陳二人因聽從蔣介石的命令，準備渡江“直搗林彪老巢”，在杜聿明趕到之前，陳明仁的71軍已跟到松花江南岸的靠山屯，孫立人的新1軍也到了德惠以北。此外，他們還各派出一個團的兵力越過松花江，進犯到半拉山屯子、五棵樹等地。後在杜聿明的勸說下，當夜又撤回江南。

3月6日，林彪命令二縱首先出擊，追殲退回到江南去的88師264團。 7日夜晚，一縱也奉命過江，但追到預定位置時，卻沒有遇到敵人。陳明仁早已命令他們南撤了。 兩支部隊撲了空卻都不甘心，相約繼續南下。 3月12日，一路奔走的二縱終於在靠山屯包圍住了88師的262團。
“不要害怕，他們沒有多少實力。”陳明仁一面為靠山屯的262團打氣，一面緊急調動農安的87師和德惠的88師前來解圍。哪知一縱此時也已到達此地，在萬毅的帶領下，一縱向西急進，當日即把88師的3，000多名援軍圍堵在郭家屯和姜家屯兩個小村子裡。 激戰隨即開始，一縱人馬一鼓作氣，88師轉眼成了甕中之鱉，共有810人被斃傷，263團團長以下1，193人被俘。

高雄市警方日前破獲一個以高薪誘騙應徵者擔任牛郎的集團，警方調查後發現，竟有超過60名國軍現役士官兵繳費報名「培訓」。軍方高層對此震怒，除要求軍紀監察處與憲兵立案調查約談外，並將通知這些官兵家屬。
高雄市刑大去年12月底破獲以陶姓、何姓嫌犯為首的詐騙集團，對外以「巴黎娛樂事業公司」為號召，誘騙年輕男性擔任酒店男公關，藉機詐取訓練、治裝等費用。警方過濾集團名冊，發現裡面有多名軍人，而且不但橫跨各軍種，階級也從軍官、士官到志願役士兵一應俱全。

國防部發言人虞思祖少將表示，本案去年底偵破時，媒體就已報導，軍方當天也展開內部調查。根據警方查出的60多個名單，軍方進一步調查發現，真正已付錢參加「培訓」的官兵是40餘人，但並非所有人都想去當男公關，也有些人是報名司機、服務人員等項目；實際上也還沒有人真正去「就業」，都是上當的被害人，在本案中都只是證人身分。
虞思祖也坦承，本案也顯示國軍基層幹部對詐騙手法了解不足，未來將加強向官兵宣導相關法律刑責、懲處規定，以及理財的正確觀念。至於這些「想當牛郎未遂」的官兵，是否要進行懲處或優先淘汰，還要再研究。

The ROC Navy should buy new Destroyer, Corvette, & Frigates from US or France. Is always important to modernize your military our wise your neighbor going to kick your ass by occupied it. If Taiwan buy these weapons that I type it down they should be ok to defend themselves from China in the future. This would keep US and France out of the war.

@SilentEagles China would not stop at only a single loss, Taiwan needs new MBTs as well; and they also need the full support of the world; morale, financial (in case of war), and military. We are failing miserably by not recognizing the ROC in the UN.

Taiwan already modernize their PAC-2 to PAC-3 and bought 114 PAC-3 missiles and 3 AN/MPQ-65 Radar Sets . Taiwan is buying 31 AH-64D Apache Longbow Block III, 60 UH-60M, 2 Osprey Mine hunters, 12 Harpoon Block II, 32 UGM-84L, 114 SM-2 Block IIIA/B Missiles, 12 P-3C, & 226 ATACMS). Taiwan is asking the US to upgrade their P-3, C-130, & E-2C. Is still not enough to defeat PLA military. Continue.....

Taiwan military need to modernize. The ROC air force is too weak to face the PLAAF. The F-16A/B and Mirage 2000 doesn't stand a chance against J-20, J-18, J-15, J-10A/B, J-11B/BH, & FC-1. The ROC need too buy new SAM like French built SAMP-T or USA/GERMANY/ITALY MEADS. The ROC Army & Marines war machines are useless against PLA Ground Forces and Marines war machines. The ROC Navy are weaker than PLA Navy. I give Taiwan military what equipment they need today and in the future.

As you can see, this country recently has some territory issue is south China see with PRC. As you can see in recently news, US has been defending Philippine like crazy even though Uncle Sam is going bankkrupt in August. Would you tell me Why US would defend Philippine and let go Taiwan?

@wtuanmu still i didn't see a war issue between China and USA about anybody since loss in Vietnam. and since China reformed in 80-th-90th. and the more PRC grow, the less US will be glad to have war with it. the same is for China - without US market it's economic will collapse. they too depend on each other anyway. Taiwan is just a point of pressure, that will be given to PRC just for the right price. the only way to hold Modern PRC is to confront it to equel developing countries, like India

Taiwan has reached it's top already and got no space for increasing, mostly restoring after the cryses and investment in other countries (like PRC). only science, but PRC will lead in 10-15 years. 10 years later GDPs of Taiwan and Phillipins will be mostly the same, no doubt - the money moves where the labor cheaper. countries will be equel. @ervin920 People seem to forget the huge domestic problems that China faces. Which causes the regime to occasionally deploy thousands of military troops against it's own people. In the face of a war outside Chinas boarders, in a situation which would cause the economy to decline, the communist party would fall from within it's boarders. China is a economic power , but not a strong military power since they would have to fight their own people in the face of a war. There is nothing to fear. 台灣加油！

It's only not part of China, because the loser who lost to Mao ran away to Taiwan, and declare the land as a country of its own, after losing the bigger land that he used to own. All jokes aside, have you ever been to either country? There's a heck of a difference, and even if Taiwan was absorbed by China, it would become similar to Hong Kong and China's relationship: Hong Kongers refusing to be termed Chinese, and looking down on mainland citizens.
First , find me evidence that Taiwan is part of China, rather then using a red herring that CKS lost to Mao. US lost to Vietnam, and Vietnam does not own the US.

Taiwan is part of China, becuz when CKS used to run China, and both party CKS and Mao fought, and CKS lost and ran away to Taiwan. I came from Hong Kong and I have relatives and friends from Taiwan. The only reason why HKers don't define themselves as Chinese is becuz they don't understand the term Chinese, and that they are fuking stupid. Many still define themselves as Chinese.

@Gin520 Saying democracy is a game doesn't mean you aren't from HK, but almost guarantees you aren't. HK are proud of the few rights they have, and use it frequenty (Tienamen Square protests, the recent railroad incident, etc).
Moving on, yes, I do have rights. As an American citizen, I have the freedom of speech, press, assembly, and others. Unlike China, where they can jail whomever the hell they want.
