Wow. This video is priceless. How fortunate that his family took the time to interview this wonderful man. I sure wish I had done the same with my dear dad who passed away in 2001. Thank you for sharing, it was very touching.
My father lied about his age, so he could enlist. He went in to the Navy and became a pilot flying a PBY over the Atlantic. I remember him talking about searching for U-boats, rescuing downed polits or seamen and then toward the end of the war being one of the polits flying German scientists out. Even in the 70's he told me to never tell the last part...
In the mid 70's he was almost charged because he lied about his age in 1942.
This man's words are true. Take the trials away, we forget God. But God (Jesus Christ) never forgets us.) Turn to Him. He died and paid it ALL. His precious blood washes away all our filthy sins. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Thanks for airing this. I enjoyed watching it.
My Dad served in the USN during WW2, He took great pride in his service. My son currently serves in the USAF. My greatest regret is that I did not. God Bless All of our vets from every era. Thank you for this video.
He shot Germans that were surrendering to the Americans?? Sick bastard i'd NEVER do that it's morally wrong!
I am, of course, talking about the guy he's talkin about in this video. If it were me i'd never shoot somebody that surrendered because they're obviously not wanting to fight any more so i'd just take them prisoner but still treat them as a human being and not treat them like shit.
SS is short for Shultzstaffel, Hitler's personal body guard. The vet is referring to troops of the Waffen-SS, or the armed SS. They served in field with the rest of the German military or Wehrmacht. The Waffen-SS is separate from the political SS and those that operated the death camps. Some Waffen-SS divisions had perpetrated crimes against humanity, especially POWs on the Eastern and Western fronts. Their fanaticism was punished gravely by their captors in many instances.
i loved the part with the bike factory
