  • yeah this is my favorite Weezer song ever. It's what originally got me into them in the first place.

  • I like turtles because they're so chill. They don't hurt anyone. They're just like, "Hey man, I want to swim, and maybe eat some lettuce. But I'm gonna take my time getting there, I'm not in a rush. Because I'm a turtle."

  • gives me chills.

  • they should perform this LIVE

  • magical song

  • I just saw my ex and it fucking sucks. Everything rushed back and it felt like there was lightning in my spine and fire on my skin and I can't force it all back down. Yet I guess

  • I'm so alone and in love it hurts. I remember listening to this song with her and we cried together, but she still didn't return my feelings.

  • The reason why everyone hates on Weezer after Pinkerton is easy: it's the last album that is stacked. Every disc afterwards has a few good songs and a bunch of fluff.

  • when this cae out i related to it so much that i thought rivers had like read y diary or something. thats whats great about music,it can make u feel a part of something. that being said, every band influenced by them blows

  • I heard this song when my deceased bf was dying and it drove me mental...but its a beautiful song... RIP Nathan. <3333

  • by far most touching album of weezer

  • I love this song, it really is a haunting song, but in a way that you will never forget it.<3

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG

    ALOT

  • i cant believe this song has a mere 49674 views/listens, it is so freaking good

  • I loved Maladroit and when this came out, it was not what I expected. I hated on it, and years later I'm still singing and playing song after song from this album. I take it back -- Make Believe is an awesome album.

  • My favourite Weezer albums are Pinkerton, and The Blue Album a close second. But I really don't understand why everyone hates on Make Believe. I think it's amazing! Way better than Maladroit, which is my least favourite....(other than Raditude)

  • silly

  • This is their most underrated song they ever made, in my opinion, and obviously the monster tune on Black Album. It's packed with dark emotion and has a great hook. I'm shocked it didn't hit.

  • GREAT CD!

  • this song is freaking good.

  • This song needs to stick out more! I hate how weezer didn't make this one of their greatest hits. I hear a lot of wonderous melodies in this song. A lot!

  • Rivers wanted to write a song like Elton John or Billy Joel. Naturally, he went to the piano.

  • Only song I really like off Make Believe. Pinkerton >= Blue >> Green > Red >>>>> Maladroit > Raditude >>> Make Believe btw.

  • @RyoCaliente nah dude its more like Pinkerton >>> Blue >>> Make Believe >>> Green >>> Hurley >>> Red >>> Maladroit >>> Raditude

  • @Fluke1K maladroit=best,haha,na just my opinion

  • @Fluke1K i agree, in my own taste though. we have similar taste. there would be one or 2 i would switch there but its damn close

  • @Fluke1K You got it ;)

  • This is a great song. I like Make Believe, but I prefer Pinkerton over all other albums. It's more raw and stripped down than all of their other albums. Blue album is second best.

  • Wow. Weezer closes all their albums well, don't they? I personally did not like Make Believe, but it has three highlights: Perfect Situation, Peace, and this one.

  • @Jtomczak7959 I agree, but I would replace Peace with This Is Such A Pity.

  • now im sure any weezer fan (new or old) will tell you that this song is awesome

there is even emotion in the guitar solo!

    i love it to much

  • I cannot understand why some people hate this album, and any of their other albums. They are amazing. <3

  • @Lilyannah07 People love Rivers' old, raw, love lyrics of insecurity (like Only in Dreams or El Scorcho). Its the only reason I like this song from Make Believe.

  • @saiyajin11 Lol I know. I wasn't seriously asking why.. I just meant I love this album and all of their others. and I think they're great.

  • my favorite Weezer song.

  • I love this song, I've listened to it since I was in middle school and now I'm a senior. Now it reminds me of my life since it makes me think of my ex because we have to see each other every day in class which makes it hard to move on..

  • @xp45501 dude same here. except now im a junior

  • this is my all time fav song by weezer, just cuz it has so much emotion in it, and it reaches out too the listeners

  • omg, this song is awesome

  • Great song and album. They got me past a rough spot in Hawaii. Thanks guys.

  • @StevenVerd haha how are there rough spots in hawaii? go to a tiki bar get drunk and go to the beach!

  • @@hsefootball36 Gimme a break! Don't buy into the tourist bullshit. Hawaii is nice, on the surface., but peel back the surface and you'll find a state beset with a crack cocaine epidemic, criminals walking the street because the court system doesn't believe in reasonable sentencing, and if you're white, fogetta boutit bra! Yes, theres ALOT of reverse racism directed against white people. Granted you will never see this if you are at the tiki bar in waikiki on the beach playing tourist for a week

  • @StevenVerd I'd Just bring a couple of guns and an ass load of shells. (Bullets)

  • this wheater make me sad and sing this song!

  • i love every song of this record.

  • @AndrewBrethour This is my favorite album personally.

  • Honestly, I think half of the love for the Blue Album and Pinkerton are placebo. Try imagining some of Weezer's song with a blue background. Imagine it as a song from the Blue Album and you'll like it just because you want to.

  • saddest song ive ever heard.

  • this song is heartbreaking

  • DEFINITELY the best song on Make Beleive

  • People say Pinkerton was an emo album, even though he puts a lot of emotion, this is the real depressing one. It has its share of good songs like Beverly Hills, We Are All on Drugs, and This Is Such a Pity.

But the ones like Pardon Me? Depressing sounding.

  • sólo soy un juguete...so alone in love!!! Temazo!!!

  • So they changed sounds, so what. They're dynamic and always fresh. Weezer is awesome.

  • Weezer formed in L.A. on February of 1992 however,

    changed band members several times.

The currently group is: Rivers Cuomo lead vocals, guitar, Patrick Wilson drums, guitar, backing vocals, Brian Bell guitar, backing vocals, keyboards, and Scott Shriner bass, backing vocals, keyboards. I enjoy listening and playing their music.

Hoping to see them live soon.

    New York City

    D.J. Sal Z.

  • I have liked Weezer since I was 18 and now I am 32 and I still like them they get better and better and the older songs that I used to listen to I remember the times I listened to them and it makes me feel like I was when I was younger...so if ya don't like it thats ok it is all you I am still gonna like it and thats it

  • this song makes me think. its sad. and i know that every verse is my life.

  • Hmm, don't give yourself so much credit.

  • Hmm a bit different from the usual sound, but I like Rivers voice and lyrics in this song. That man can do anything

  • Search

"Anna Eriksson Ei se mennyt niin (Ylen hyvä 2005)"

It's a Finnish copy of this song, which is not a cover, but a unique composition :)

  • meh...raditude was a little too electronic for me. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on electronics at all, but i listen to weezer because weezer sounds like weezer...i guess raditude just struck me the wrong way.

  • i don't know why people thumbed you down. I didn't like raditude that much either. Weezer is my favorite band and songs like I Can't Stop Partying were really disappointing.

  • agreed. I'm not gonna go say "RADITUDE SUCKED WEEZER HASNT BEEN GOOD SINCE PINKERTON" but its safe to say that each album Weezer gains a little charm, and looses a previous charm.. Sometimes it looses more than it gains unfortunately, and thats how I feel with Raditude.

  • Make Believe is a great album, make me remeber the good moments of the blue album :D

in fact, all weezer albums are great, you can criticize the production or something, but no record of them are bad.

  • it's funny, when this came out EVERYONE hated it. I guess enough time has gone by for people to see some less popular greats on it like this track.

  • Buddy holly for ever with Windows 95

  • it feels so wrong to hate on weezer

  • =w=

  • This is a great song, but I thought it was such a depressing song to end an album on! It took me several minutes to feel happy again after hearing this song.

  • Beautiful song, but so sad

    Love this album

  • these lyrics are my favorite weezer lyrics in all of history i mean theyre freaking amazing

  • Why is everyone always hating on Weezers albums after Pinkerton? If you ask me the albums following pinkerton are the best. Every one of thier albums is the shizzel mcfizzle.

  • i completely agree, and the fact that you used the words shizzel mcfizzle makes you so much more right!! XD

  • I wouldn't say that all post Pinkerton is incredible, but every album has it's moments.

Complaining about a Weezer album being bad is like saying you got 8 pounds of candy instead 10, you still get tons of good stuff no matter which way you go.

Haunt You Every Day is totally a high point for Make Believe, much like Perfect Situation and This Is Such A Pity.

  • Exactly. There are quite a few gems from Post-Pinkerton albums such as Island in the Sun, Dope Nose, Burnt Jamb, Dreamin', etc. And even then, there's a whole bunch of b-sides and demos that are great.

  • @glinzman That's because you're deaf.

  • @glinzman No they aren't. Pinkerton is the best Weezer album, along with the B-Sides from around the Black Hole Era. If you honestly think "Can't Stop Partying" is a fucking good song, then you are a fucking idiot. I think a FEW songs post-Pinkerton are decent. From Make Believe, I think this one is alright, along with Perfect Situation.

  • @glinzman because theyre all whiny bitches, they just think its cool to disregard anything they do after P cause they think it makes them seem edgy, theyre not even honest with themselves,i dont think the loss of those fans has affected weeer one bit they nor any band should cow tail to those malcontents

  • @glinzman

    Except for Raditude,

Raditude is a steaming pile of dog-shit

  • @glinzman

absolutely not! i luv weezer, but all of the albums after pinkerton are the worst. the first 2 albums are gold, but albums like the red album & raditude cannot compare!

  • eating at the heeeaaarrrt till i've had my fill

  • @glinzman awesome wording

  • @glinzman very much agreed. only just got into weezer but loving everything by them so far

  • @glinzman best use of shizzle mcfizzle EVAR

  • @glinzman cause theyre dicks

  • @glinzman

    No.

    Just... No.

  • @glinzman It's because Weezer has changed alot and so has RIvers. There's some good stuff on the new albums but Pinkerton and the blue album are gold. I started listening to Weezer when they released the green album and had never even heard Pinkerton as a whole until about a year ago. It is without a doubt one of the greatest albums ever, so its pretty hard to top.

  • @glinzman mm apart from raditude

  • I like most of the stuff on Make Believe, but I don't know about this one. It's okay I guess. And I think Maladroit is better than most people give it credit for.

  • this is the best song on this album

  • This song is very.. Haunting. Love it, love Weezer.

  • I like heart songs the best but only in dreams is right there.

  • Rivers said this is tied with Only in Dreams for his favorite solo? How about Falling for You, that one's a lot better.

  • While I agree, I still love this one.

  • nothing tops only in dreams. nothing.

  • love it

  • I love NERD bands ( Not in a bad way )

  • i fucking love this song

  • I am gonna kill......when i need a thrill. love that line

  • everybody says weezer has never done anything nearing the brilliance of the blue album and pinkerton and I just think that is sooo untrue they have made some amazing songs since then and will continue to do so they are amazing and this song is just one of the many testaments to that

  • yea i used to be pro blue and pinkerton and trash a lot of there other work but i'm starting to realize there is still some good after those albums. but i'm not the biggest fan of red

  • Death and Destruction and this song. Name one more.

  • The angel and the one (Red), The greatest man that ever lived, my best friend(make believe), Heart songs (Red), Keep Fishing, Dope nose, Photograph, we are all on drugs, The other way, Perfect situation, Slob

    I think thats enough.........

  • You just listed a number of terrible songs.

  • LOL... deluded much.

  • did you listen to pinkerton?......

  • yes of course i have, I was just pointing out that people should not hate so much on the recent material weezer has released after pinkerton because it really is not that bad, some material could compete easily with pinkerton as far as brilliance goes. That being said pinkerton and blue are my favorite albums they released and are classics.

  • @iamlameduck

    american gigolo and bundt jamb

  • amazing song

  • PAPERFACEEEEEE

all the weezer sogns kick ass

    cant wait for raditude

  • Yea this and "Peace" are my favorite from this album.

  • this is one of there many good songs, but my fav weezer song is el scorcho

  • I may have a few disagreements, but i think this song tops both "Only In Dreams" and "Undone- The Sweater Song," hell, I count this as weezer's best work. ^_^

  • yup

  • are u cracked ? this doesnt have shit on only in dreams but hey to each his own right ?

  • One of my favorite songs from this album.

    Weezer rocks on

  • This is a beautiful song because it seems really haunted...

  • makes me feel happy :)

  • beautiful song, thanks!

  • this song is alright...

  • this song reminds me of a stalker

  • The best song ! ♥♥♥ weezer ♥♥♥

  • I love this song!

  • this song is awesome.

I found out about it because I heard the producer for Make Believe (Rick Rubin, one of the best producers EVER) asked Rivers Cuomo (Weezer frontman) to write a Billy Joel/Elton John like song. This was the result.

  • have they ever performed this song live?

  • i dont know.

  • my fav song by them

  • Yeah, I put this song #2 on my favorite Weezer tunes after Only in Dreams

  • Only In Dreams is the best Weezer song, and Haunt You Every Day Is #2. You are correct :-)

  • but the sweater song and el scorcho...

  • I know, but I'm sticking to it. I love this one and I adore Only In Dreams.

  • Hey Weezer fans,

    I have seen something disturbing:

    watch?v=Y928MqgGgOc

Do you think it's a copy? It's not a cover since it's credited to the singers boyfriend. Not cool.

  • She is not russian. Her boyfriend "wrote" that and he is a huge Weezer fan. So it can't be an accident. He credited the song.

  • wiat wat russian???!!!

  • Only in Dreams is better.

    Best, actually.

  • weezer is not emo

some elements of weezer's music have been used in emo music; weezer is a predecessor of emo music, alot of emo bands count weezer as an influence, just like weezer counts alot of metal bands as influences, that does not make them metal---

rivers cuomo was quoted as saying- " i don't know that much about the emo music movement, but apparently I had something to do with it"

  • @fishermanswharf5

Actually, Emo is just the most mis-classified genre of all time,

Alot of ACTUAL emo bands (such as Sunny Day Real Estate) were established at more or less the same time as Weezer

How misused the term is now just goes to show how idiotic the music industry/pop-culture has gotten since the 90's

  • They were just asking a question you dick.

  • amazing..

  • Arguably the best song ever!

  • Key word there being "arguably."

  • I told my girlfriend of 3 years that if i die before her this would be my song to her kinda of creepy for her ''laughing''

  • lol watch your back man.

  • 我喜歡這首歌

  • this is arguably my favorite song ever

  • I think it's one of mines too

  • yeah definatly. In my opinion, this is tied w/ butterfly as Weezers best song too.

  • i love it

  • mmm i lpve you rivers cuomo!!!

  • this song is deep

  • after my brother showed me this on his humongous itunes playlist i fell in love with it

  • superr

  • I like this song but don't u put a video???

  • yeah, i wish i could put one up. too bad i dont have one

  • such a passionate song...love it

  • weezer such a great band of all time , this song one of my favourite's , really tells about my life story, thx weezer!!!!

  • all their music is good this is with out a doubt my all time favorite band

  • This song has really grown on me since the album was released. Apart from "This is Such a Pity', it's probably the best thing on the album.
