Yes, it's a lot of work because of the cultural differences. But for us, it was age difference. She wanted to go out every fucking night. But, I hated sitting in cafes just to smoke, drink, and gossip. But she is young and wanted to constantly socialize, so it started to separate us. I haven't given up on Ukraine. No. Basically her feelings changed when I left her for 6 months when I went back to America. This is mostly my fault. But we both made mistakes in our relations, it was not perfect, but I still loved her very much. I came back to her in Ukraine, but it was too late. Actually $400 a month is cheap for living in Odessa, especially if you are close to the center, and especially in the summer time. Odessa is basically modern city, it can not be compared to all the farms and villages spread across the country. Ya, that was my first and last experience of getting ripped renting a "tourist" flat, lol. Later on when I started to live there, we only paid about $450. Another flat I lived in was even half as much.

Anyways, I lived in Odessa alone, had great parties there, met lots of people, even became tour guide for other foreigners for awhile, many contacting me here wanted advice about Ukrainian women. I don't regret my relations, it was very special time in my life. She was special, beautiful, and sometimes even loving and passionate. I will never forget Ukraine!

Ya, it helps to speak Russian. I didn't speak Russian and I should have, so it kind of sucked sometimes. Basically my mami was my translator. However, it was cool that some of our friends there spoke enough conversational English. Russian is a beautiful language, but very difficult to learn for Americans, I think.
