I've read the Old Testament and asked God why all the violence - at first reading it seemed God was a very angry God, but he was only delivering those who were oppressed from the oppressor - he didn't do so swiftly in order to give them a chance to repent, - He waited until their acts reached the pinnacle of evil - so God is very patient with us - eventually He has to bring justice to those who are oppressed

@hiimquinn The Lord is not an a++hole. He punishes those who don't follow what He says. And if you really read the New Testament, you'll see His brilliance and mercy written all over the pages. He created this earth and he could take it away any second he wanted. People are sinners, and it's true even back in the Old Testament. But he gave us a way out by sending Jesus. And yes I agree, we do contradict ourselves a lot. Of course, what isn't confusing about the Lord's undying love?

But we have to understand and not come down on others as far as the reasons why they cant see. Its all in scripture and thats why we need to pray for them because just like them.
